जनरल कैटेगरी के गरीब बच्चों को हक दिलाने के लिए मोदी सरकार ने EWS कोटा बनाया था ताकि आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर बच्चों को सहारा मिले, लेकिन देश की सबसे बड़ी परीक्षा UPSC में जो हुआ, उसने सबको हिलाकर रख दिया है। इस साल UPSC में EWS कोटे से 104 लोग सेलेक्ट हुए... जब Indian Express ने इसकी तहकीकात की तो होश उड़ाने वाला सच सामने आया। इन 104 में से 84 लोग वो निकले जो अमीर परिवारों से हैं, जिन्होंने लाखों रुपए की महँगी कोचिंग ली, जो एक-डेढ़ लाख सालाना फीस वाले स्कूलों में पढ़े और जिनके माता-पिता बड़े बिजनेसमैन हैं।

National Testing Agency (NTA) issues a statement; says, "More than 20 lakh candidates sat for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination across 5,440 centres in India and 14 centres abroad today. The paper was administered in 13 languages, including Hindi and English. Extensive arrangements were made for all candidates, including more than 10,000 Persons with Disabilities. Special arrangements were put in place for around 81 candidates with medical conditions, among them a child who had been in a road accident, and a child undergoing chemotherapy, who were determined not to miss an exam they had prepared for years. Aadhaar-based biometric and face authentication, CCTV monitoring, jammers, and two-layer frisking with the support of State Police were in place across centres."

#WATCH | Ajmer, Rajasthan: A Burqa-wearing candidate was allegedly denied entry at a medical entrance exam centre ahead of the NEET examination today. A candidate, named Kulsum Bano, says, "I have come from Beawar to take the NEET exam. When I took the exam on May 3rd, I was in the same attire then as I am now: wearing a burqa and a dupatta. Initially, they said I would have to remove the dupatta to enter; then they insisted I had to remove the burqa as well. If the NTA has permitted us, these people cannot stop us... If I am to take the exam and they don't allow me in this attire, then I simply won't take it... It is shameful that they are messing with 18-year-olds like this... The exam doesn't matter to me; what matters is my 'burqa' and my identity."
