Why We Can't Have Nice Things

@Whywecannot

Asking questions, pointing out the painfully obvious. Sometimes I'm not as polite as I should be. Two sides of the same insane coin.

@CityofEdmonton Increased taxes, fewer services, more congestion, more ideology, less practicality. Absolutely no accountability. Recall elections sound pretty cool right about now.

Jeffrey Epstein's unusual close relationship with Ehud Barak doesn't suggest Epstein worked for Israel. It proves the opposite. Stuck on his election loss from over two decades ago, Barak has for years obsessively attempted to undermine Israeli democracy by working with the anti-Zionist radical left in failed attempts to overthrow the elected Israeli government. Barak's personal fixation led him to engage in activities publicly and behind the scenes to undermine the government of Israel, including fueling mass protest movements, fomenting unrest and feeding false media narratives.

@CanadaGoose911 Checked on the user's profile. All of the standard warning signs are there. How do people get to this point, completely decoupled from reality. It has to be a choice....

Here’s a statement I gave to Global News earlier today in response to the growing separatist movement across Alberta and Saskatchewan. — I am a proud Canadian, born and raised. I love this province and I love this country. Saskatchewan is a part of Canada — and it needs to stay that way. We build a bright future filled with good-paying jobs, lower cost of living, available healthcare and more by building our province within this country. The separatist movement in Saskatchewan is dangerous and will only serve to undermine investor confidence, especially at such a critical moment for our economy. That’s why I introduced the Keep Saskatchewan In Canada Act last year to raise the threshold on any vote to leave Canada. Scott Moe and the Sask. Party have turned down attempts to pass my legislation at every turn. Moe has failed to show leadership—to do his job as Premier—and clearly denounce this growing separatist movement. Failing to be clear about how wrongheaded and harmful this talk is at the at this critical time is nothing short of cowardice. The Saskatchewan NDP will fight any attempt to pull Saskatchewan out of Canada. We will remain the True North, Strong and Free.

Janis Erwin is a single issue Alberta NDP politician. All she cares about are so-called "Trans rights". She is mentally unfit, and anyone who votes for here is enabling her delusion. She needs help, not power over people.

One of my jobs as Premier is to prove Alberta can be strong and prosperous within Canada. We’ve spent months negotiating with the federal government and have come to an agreement that includes the cancellation of the oil and gas production cap, and the net-zero power regs in Alberta. My hope is that as we work to implement this agreement, and advance a new million barrel per day oil pipeline to Asian markets, Albertans will see a bright future as a strong and sovereign province within a united Canada.

This is deeply disturbing. Evidence of mass psychosis. 37% of Republicans believe the Holocaust was “greatly exaggerated.” 41% believe the US government helped to orchestrate 9/11. 36% believe the moon landing was faked. A majority believe the 2020 US election was decided fraudulently. It’s clear that these sentiments are also pretty common within the antivax / MAGA north / Alberta separatist / pro Putin cohort here, but thankfully it’s a much smaller share of the population than in the US.
