Earlier today, Sears School in Kenilworth went into restricted access when juveniles were spotted in the area carrying realistic-looking toy guns. The Winnetka Police Department responded and worked with the Kenilworth Police to investigate. More: ow.ly/qGpc50NByy8

We would like to clarify information circulating regarding an incident on the 900 block of Vine over the weekend: Police responded to the residence and confirmed a residential burglary had occurred. This incident was not a home invasion. An investigation is underway.

This morning at 9:12, our police dispatch center received a call placed to a non-emergency line making a direct threat toward the safety of North Shore Country Day School. A preliminary investigation found there was no threat to the school. More here: ow.ly/Hf1Z50MXeWq
