@ProtoXenoGen Information isn’t really deleted. Just marked as free space until something is written over it. Unless there is extensive wipe procedures in place, I really wouldn’t trust their word.

There needs be VERY large fines & compensation for users if their sensitive information gets breached by a malicious 3rd party. If you can't keep peoples information safe, it should not be required to use your service.

Microsoft confirms a Windows 11 bug is crashing explorer.exe, which means the taskbar, Start menu, and desktop will disappear. The explorer.exe powers most of the important UI features on Windows 11, including the desktop and taskbar. However, a recent Windows update causes explorer.exe to crash immediately after sign-in. A fix is now rolling out with an optional update (KB5074105.

I use Steam myself, including DLC and extra.
But the Govt and Starmer are NOT banning Steam.

If you received a ban notification between 1 PM EST and 5 PM EST on January 4th, this was not official and can be disregarded. Note that receiving these false notifications does not result in a real ban. The esports blue banner has also been temporarily disabled following reports of unofficial messaging.
With the team back at full capacity, we are working on resolving recent issues such as the synchronization errors and server disconnects.

@Bennyblues62 @PixelThroneX @Rainbow6Game Rewriting the code would not effect the game, in a simple basic explanation, they got a copy of it, they can compile it and run the game locally, however I doubt it will compile, they cannot push the changes to steam, psn, xbox etc

@PixelThroneX @Rainbow6Game If I was you I’d be more worried at the High probability the threat actors got the source code, if they did, that’s really really bad, there probably rotating keys and credentials and rewriting code as we speak, it should be taken as a wake up call for the management tho

➡️ Nobody will be banned for spending credits received. A rollback of all transactions that occurred since 11 AM (UTC time) is underway.
➡️ The ban ticker was turned off in a past update. Any messages seen were not triggered by us.
➡️ An official R6 ShieldGuard ban wave did occur but is not related to this incident.
We are working very hard to make sure this is resolved and players can play again.

We welcomed the Halloween Chapter into The Fog a little over nine years ago, but the time has come for us to say goodbye to Lampkin Lane. The content of the Chapter will leave the in-game and first party stores on January 19th, 2026. All content unlocked before that date will remain available for players in game, but the Haddonfield Realm will no longer be accessible.
