BREAKING NEWS: Eddie Deans Jr., the Grand Rapids man shot and killed by police last weekend, was in violation of his parole and wanted by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Records show Deans, who threw a Molotov cocktail at police after a carjacking pursuit and stabbed a K-9 three times, had served 25 of his 50 year sentence for beating a women to death when he was 16. In 2014 while in state custody for murder, he broke another inmates jaw, but had his sentence reduced by Livingston County District Judge Carol Sue Reader who claimed he did not “intend” to cause great bodily harm.
