If nobody cares about the topic, nothing else matters. demand gets attention, packaging earns the click, retention keeps people watching, repetition builds authority, and consistency keeps you in the system long enough to win.
But demand is the foundation.

what actually matters for youtube: demand packaging retention consistency repetition

@ehuntober @MrOrdia @digitalmary1 Also, don’t just create ideas blindly. If you have a video idea, search if it’s already been done
and if it has gone viral, study it properly. Not as a viewer, but as a strategist. Ask: why did this hook work? why did people stay? what pattern kept attention?

@ehuntober @MrOrdia @digitalmary1 I no know your niche, so I no fit give you very specific advice, but make I point you the right direction.
Short-form and long-form no be the same thing. For Shorts, your first 1–2 seconds dey very important. If you no hook people quick, dem go swipe comot

@ehuntober @MrOrdia @digitalmary1 You need strong opening wey go immediately show wetin dey happen and make people curious.
Example instead of: “Today I’ll talk about productivity,” you go with:
“Most people are wasting 5 hours a day and don’t even realize it
That kind intro dey grab attention fast.

@natecurtiss_yt Time to position myself to benefit from this new update

This new YouTube update is changing the algorithm forever.
They’re rolling out custom feeds. You type what you want to see, and the algorithm builds around it. “Show me videos that teach me something new.” “AI talks under 20 minutes.” You tell YouTube what you want, and it listens.
This changes social media forever, and most channels have no idea yet.
For years the game was one direction. YouTube decided what to feed you and you scrolled it. Now the viewer decides first. That flips all the intent. There was already high intent on YouTube because people click what they want instead of getting fed a random stream. Custom feeds take that intent and make it the whole system.
Here is what that does to how you blow up:
AI slop stops winning. When viewers pick the exact thing they want, low effort mass produced content gets filtered out before it reaches anyone. The feed rewards the video someone actually asked for, and nobody asks for slop. Real human content wins because a person searching for quality will always pick the thing a human made with care.
Viewer satisfaction becomes the only number that matters. Not tricks. Not thumbnails that bait a click and let the viewer down. People only see what they like, so the video has to actually deliver on what it promised.
This makes YouTube a higher quality platform than every other feed. More choice for the viewer means more pressure on the channel. The channels that win the next two years are the ones building videos so good a viewer would type them into a feed on purpose.
This could be the best update YouTube’s rolled out in a while.

This is the only thing that matters on YouTube in 2026

youtube cares about one thing - viewer satisfaction which comes from: people clicking people staying people returning people watching more people sharing people bingeing people trusting your next upload consistency delivering what you promised

We would give excuse to Ronaldo if he was the top scorer.😂😂and not Mr I'm back against Uzbekistan and Mr penalty against Croatia

Imagine it was Ronaldo that was struggling to beat Cape Verde. They would’ve called him all kind of finished names but they are somehow giving excuse for Messi now😂😂
