The signing will make a lot more sense, if the other two midfielders we sign are different. I get people want the big, exciting deals done first, but if this is a case of being the easiest and most straight forward one to do, it doesn’t mean it was the biggest priority.
Makes zero sense to sign Tonali now, he should be the Tonali alternative.
Go sign Tchou & Fernandes or someone of similar profile & I’ll be over the moon with the midfield rebuild.

Ederson should have well more goals. Actually think he’s a good final third player. In the right environment, this could easily be moulded into Tonali 2.0. His deep runs, 1-2s, ball-striking, he should have far far far more goals.
