@jkbjournalist @jaketapper I don't believe you or your story. If a woman is raped by her dr I would think she would report him so he cannot harm other women.
Unfortunately, some women lie. Some make up stories to suit their agenda.
English

A 90-year-old woman emailed me this week. She told me she was raped by her doctor 60 years ago.
"A woman lawyer told me not to prosecute him because I would be dragged through the mud," she explained.
I get emails like this almost every day. These women aren't asking me for anything, except to acknowledge them and their pain.
They want the world to understand that they have been silenced by a system in which men say "eight years ago?" as if there is a deadline that expired for their trauma.

EIGHT YEARS AGO??!!!!!

@maxxin_alll_J @sliccmic My god her house must reek. Why would anyone do that
English

@sliccmic When I was first reading about them before I used one I read an Instagram comment by a woman who claimed she used her filled cups to water her houseplants
English

@sliccmic Wait is this true 😭😭 I literally hate tampons they feel so *aggressive* I was hoping a diva cup might be easier but this is defs putting me off
English

@SinDelulu @sliccmic Girl do it, I wish mine still worked for me because I would just forget I was on my period.

Lena Dunham truly doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. Not in a good way though
Pop Base@PopBase
Lena Dunham shares that she cheated on Jack Antonoff in her new memoir ‘Famesick.’ She adds that it was around the same time Jack had developed a “closeness” with a “teen pop star”, which she says “struck an odd note.” The pair dated for years around 2012-2018.

4th is tough. An IEP is great. The best thing that they did for my son was make sure every day he had to do his assignment. Instead of 1 week or 2 week projects they would do it daily. Maybe that is more applicable in Middle School but that will be important. Also he had a think ball to hold in class. Gum was allowed. He had time to finish projects differently than the rest. Lastly, he was away from distracting noises. All of this led to success.

“ADHD is not a disorder of not knowing what to do. It’s a disorder of not doing what you already know.”
Dr. Russell Barkley just delivered one of the clearest explanations of ADHD I’ve ever heard.
He says the brain can be split in two: the back part acquires knowledge, the front part (the executive system) uses it. ADHD acts like a meat cleaver that severs the two.
You already have the skills and information other people your age have. You just can’t apply them when it counts.
That’s why life becomes an endless series of last-minute crises. You’re time-blind — you can only deal with what’s right in front of you. The further away a goal or deadline is, the less real it feels.
The solution isn’t teaching more skills. It’s changing the environment at the exact point where the problem occurs — the “point of performance.”
It’s a game-changing way to understand why traditional approaches often fail.

@CAMELCASTOff Either the first guy is fine but just "not the one" and she has to break his heart, or the first guy is a match made by external factors like society, religion, poverty, and she has to choose a harder life but with a truer love. It's just what romance stories are made of 2/2
English

@CAMELCASTOff It's just effective storytelling to show a woman in a poor relationship meeting and falling for someone better suited for her. We can see her past and two different potential futures at the same time. Being forced to refuse one and choose the other raises the stakes. 1/2
English

It'll never stop amazing me that the movies which are considered the most romantic are movies about women cheating.
Titanic, The Notebook, Unfaithful, Eat Pray Love. Etc. List goes on.

@EqFundDotcom @zk_lmao @newstart_2024 And I agree about the hunter gene. My theory is if you want to see who in your family has adhd, at the next barbecue, pretend you lost something small. Anyone still searching after fifteen minutes has adhd. The longer and more furiously they search, the more severe the case
English

@EqFundDotcom @zk_lmao @newstart_2024 That is great to hear. My daughter is finishing up 4th grade now, and we're always looking for new strategies
English

@vanessa_saylor @ronsterd89 I have worn soft clothes to the store. I'm the exact opposite of you in every way, so you don't have to worry. You're doing everything perfectly and it will never happen to you.
English

@ronsterd89 It’s the “I don’t care. I’m just doin me” attitude that is actually indicative of how they live life generally. I’d like to interview people who show this public persona. Do they have jobs? What types? Married or not? Children? Christian? Who are they?
English

OK I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it EVERY SINGLE TIME I step foot in Walmart because apparently NO ONE is listening: WHY are people walking around this store looking like they literally just rolled out of bed?!?!
Hair looking like a bird’s nest, lounge clothes on, slippers like you forgot you had them on before they you the house. I’m sorry but if you’re gonna come out in public to grocery shop, at least have the common decency to put on REAL CLOTHES! People are so unbelievably lazy these days it’s actually embarrassing. You shouldn’t be trotting around like that in front of actual functioning adults!
It’s an embarrassment to everyone around you and quite frankly I get SECOND-HAND embarrassment just having to witness it. Fix yourselves, people. This is not a hotel lobby, it’s WALMART...

English

@EqFundDotcom @zk_lmao @newstart_2024 This is so true. I tell my daughter if your mind is required, keep your body engaged. If your body is required, keep your mind engaged. Otherwise, both body and mind will search for something more engaging and the task will fall apart
English

@zk_lmao @newstart_2024 I hate that label. It's a Hunter gene. Probably why exercise/Keto are the best medicine. Just walking allows me to focus. I can read on an exercise bike but not a couch. There is a 2nd awareness that must be good for hunting. If not engaged the mind won't work right.
English

@Aidan328i @pos_and_neg @harryjsisson Yes, I don't doubt they were being purposefully provocative. I'm sure many people were offended. This is America, it happens. You'd hope the literal president would have more sense than to offend the majority of his supporters. It's childish and unprofessional, as usual
English

@YourDailyKayli @pos_and_neg @harryjsisson It’s been parodied but having mentally ill people play dress up and reenact it crosses a very large line… a line some of those people in the photo know well as they needed a crane operator to get them into position
English

Trump is having a mental health episode right now. He’s been posting on social media all night. He posted at:
9:49pm (Ai Jesus photo)
9:50pm (Trump tower on moon)
10:10pm (dumb meme)
10:32pm (news clip)
10:53pm (news clip)
12:43am (announcing Hormuz blockade)
2:35am (article about Biden)
2:36am (article on naval blockade)
2:37am (article on Rep. Swalwell)
2:37am (posted the same article about Biden again)
2:38am (article on his ballroom)
4:10am (article on Iran)
He’s not sleeping, he’s pretending to be Jesus, and he’s posting all night. He’s not well.
English

@pos_and_neg @harryjsisson The last supper is just a painting, and it's been parodied a million times. And none of these people are the POTUS
English

@harryjsisson Things that offend the left. Trump’s meme.
Things that don’t offend the left. Drag queens mocking the Last Supper.

English

@TerryMu97456187 @kaitlancollins Idk who you think is upset about this but it's probably not that very emotional leftist

@RealNam58912695 @ronin21btc My mom was harsh and critical with me and I was horribly unprepared for the real world. I was terrified of getting in trouble with her so I faced so much of it alone. My children know they can come to me with any problem. No parent is perfect, but I'm doing better than my mom did
English

@ronin21btc Is she a good mom?
If yes, how is that possible with horrible parents like hers?
Or maybe, she was actually loved just not coddled all the time so she was ready for the real world.
English

Why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he'd post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this?
Either way, two things are true.
1) a little humility would serve him well
2) God shall not be mocked

Dumbledore actor John Lithgow says "much" of J.K. Rowling's "imputed prejudice" has "been twisted and misrepresented" but "I do disagree with much of it."
“The whole subject of Rowling’s imputed prejudice, it came up after everything was already underway. I’d already said yes […] I was urged to walk away, and I was not about to do that. The reasons to do it were much, much stronger than the reasons to protest against what Rowling has done and said. I do disagree with much of it, much of it I think has been twisted and misrepresented, and she has doubled down on it at her own cost... I have not met her. The other positive on the ‘Harry Potter’ project is the people who have taken it on themselves. Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod have an extraordinary partnership. Francesca… she persuaded me, she’s the big reason I took it on.” (via The New Yorker)

@TheK420Metric @DoctorQuince @AllieJade1 Weird: outside of social norms
Normal: inside of social norms
Masking: performing normalness when it doesn't come naturally
Gen Z stare: having a muted affect at inappropriate times, ie. In a customer service postion
Muted affect: showing little to no expression
English

I've read about this Gen Z stare and up til now, I'd never encountered it. That was until today. I walked into a local take out shop. 2 cash registers, 2 people ready to take your order. The first girl was busy with customers, so I look at the girl at the 2nd cash. She just stares at me. Her face never moved, she didn't blink, she just stared at me like I was invisible. It was like she didn't know how to acknowledge or give basic social cues. I'm looking at her thinking, usually people behind the counter say hello first as a cue to advance to their wicket. She just stared at me!
So I ask: Hi, do you want to take my order?
Her: Sure.
That's all she initially said.
Honestly it was the oddest thing I've ever encountered, it was like she was on auto pilot. Once I started speaking to her, it was like her batteries kicked in and then she smiled became friendly.
Has anyone else ever encountered that stare?

English

@YourDailyKayli @blue913093 @Variety I mean its all dependant what bubble youre in. People protested Biden and Obama. Obama flamed racism more than any other President, including Trump, Biden was genuinely a braindead puppet who said far more racist shit than Trumps ever said. You need to teach them reality instead.
