Story time. I worked at GameStop for 11 years, starting in 2007. My store manager was a 500 lb man. I called him Egg. Egg pretty much was the worst person I've ever met. He would schedule you during your mothers funeral and laugh about it. Anyway. The worst thing Egg did was leave the store at 1pm (and stay clocked in stealing time). He would go to his buddy's house and have sex with hookers. This was in rural Alabama so you can imagine the quality of hooker. He came back at 5pm to clock out. Eventually all the employees at the store including myself complained anonymously to upper management about it. A few weeks later our District Manager came to the store "have a talk with Egg." He told Egg that he can no longer leave the store and steal time. He wasn't fired because our store ranked so well in sales metrics.(pro cards, reserves, etc). Egg decided the best way to move forward was to BRING HOOKERS TO THE STORE. He would walk them in the front door, which children in the store, and go into the back room to proceed. Right next to our products in the store room. After a few weeks, we made another anonymous tip. The REGIONAL director came to the store this time to investigate. Luckily, all the security tapes had been erased by our DM and Egg. No more questions were asked. Egg was not fired(because he ranked so well in metrics). He continued to do this hooker nonsense. I was promoted to store manager soon after and leave to go to a different store. Egg worked at GameStop for another 10 years.

I told Warski last night that when I said "I have had DMs with Chrissie and this is what happened" I was referring to how I was interpreting our conversation. Warski announced it on Kino last night. I do not have a DM saying that. I apologized to PPP and Andy. I worded that sentence on ddaycobra very poorly and feel like a dumb ass. I'm sorry to Chrissie as well for implying that. Although I worded that poorly. It's no different than lying. I own it. I deserve to be flamed for it.

@CAMELCASTOff Credit for owning it. Not great that it happened in the first place though. This situation is hot rn and people are reacting to everything. So lying about or misrepresenting private conversations is definitely not a good look.

Its a lie. I dont have a DM of her saying that or implying it. I was frusterated and was saying my opinion on what I determined her motivation to be. Sharing that after saying "I have had DMs with Chrissie and here is what happened" was absolutely asinine to say. I should have said "here what I think happened." Either way. Its not true and I'm not going to lie to you or everyone. Everyone is too invested in this for me to be mudding the waters.

i appreciate this. it is difficult because the interpretation is what caused issue. so if people could see the words for themselves, then they can either understand you better or confirm it was an exaggeration or worse a lie. while "leaking dms" is frowned upon, sadly when people want to speak about dms in this manner, there is little other route to take to get maximum understanding.
