NEW: Tulane University police fatally shoot man who allegedly shot two people on campus On Thursday outside Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, 38-year-old Lafimmas Leevon Haynes shot and critically wounded two people. A male Tulane University Police officer approached Haynes and a struggle ensued. Bodycam and bystander video shows Haynes reaching for the officer’s gun. A female TUPD officer then fired three shots, fatally striking Haynes. A gun was recovered at the scene. Haynes’ family is demanding answers, with relatives questioning why officers did not use a taser instead of deadly force and calling for the female officer to lose her job. The NOPD Force Investigation Team is reviewing the incident.

@FightWithMemes Why do they frequently have no empathy for those they have deemed to be "nazis" or some political other? Hell, everyone has seen girls being cruel to each other for no reason at schools. Clearly there's more to it than "women always experience empathetic urges towards others."

Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. @Okemahisnotreal @dollarsanddata IMO, Latin is a pseudo-intellectual exercise. For most students who take it, it provides little of value relative to the cost (time and money), and little value relative to opportunity costs (e.g., working).
