There’s also an ethnic component to each of those ‘operators’ but we won’t get into that today

Someone educate me as to why the US Navy can't eliminate Iran's “mosquito fleet.” I get these are small, fast speedboats, but can't they be quickly eliminated by helicopters and jets, as well as ship-mounted guns? How many of these do they even have?!

Why do commercial brokers get paid their commission on the full lease at move-in, rather than getting paid over time, as the tenant actually pays rent? Feels like it would be fairer for them to bear the risk of default alongside the landlord, no?

Four corporations control 90% of California's refining capacity. That's not a market — that's a monopoly. I'll attack their grip on gas pricing and force an investigation into why Californians pay more than anyone else in the country.

Help with aging parents. Just got back from Easter weekend with the in-laws. Both are nearly 80, yet still driving during daytime, non-rush hours, etc. they are not good/safe drivers. Car is a fairly tech safe 2020 SUV, but what is the near term solution? Tesla FSD? Uber? No driving?

Since 2012, California's wealthy commercial property owners have avoided $243 billion in taxes. That's theft from our schools and communities. I'm going to close that corporate tax loophole and put money back into Californians' pockets.

Most franchisees would be better off stopping at 5 restaurants. I know that's not what the industry wants to hear. The whole ecosystem is built around scaling. More units, more revenue, more growth. But the truth is, you can have an amazing life and a great business without 50 locations. Not everyone needs to be a mega operator. The real question is what do you actually want your life to look like?

Back at the auto repair shop today after $700 of repairs on my Volvo yesterday. A parking brake cord got clipped during their work and now the sensor won’t stop beeping. I’ve bought multiple cars here and referred multiple people and spent a fortune on repairs over the years. Odds they comp this vs charge me $225?
