When you’ve been trading for long enough, you become numb to things that would have made you extremely stressed a few years ago Once you can lose $1,000s, even $10,000s in a day with no emotion Suddenly it doesn’t matter as much when you lose a suitcase while travelling, or something goes wrong with your car and you need to fix it Trading doesn’t remove these inconveniences from your life - but it gives you the ability to not let them affect you emotionally Not only because you’re making enough money to pay for these things, but also because of the mental resilience that trading gives you

I have nothing against people that work a 9 to 5 But I always knew that I didn’t want to go down that path I found trading from some scammy Instagram guru, tried it myself and was hooked after my first trade Took 2.5 years of endless work to get my first payout of $10k Quit my job after it, thought I had “made it” Lost it all a few weeks later and had to get my job back Kept working my jobs as a bricklayer and part-time in a supermarket while trading Friends were in University and getting careers while I was working part-time just trying to make trading work 2 long years after that $10k payout I got my 2nd ever payout That same month I got my 3rd, then my 4th That was in June 2024 - I averaged $20-50k/month in payouts for the rest of that year Only quit my part-time job at the supermarket in January 2025 to go full-time in trading Since then I’ve travelled the world, made more money in a month than most people my age will make in a year or 2 It was all worth it Don’t quit trading - the journey is so hard, but it’s so worth it too

It takes 12 years to become a surgeon 14 years to become a surgeon 10 years to become a lawyer 5 years to become a welder And everyone thinks that’s normal Yet dudes will open up a trading account and think they’ll start making $100k+ in the first year Make it make sense Consistently profitable trading takes YEARS, just like any other profession Don’t let this discourage you though When you grind at it for a long time and make it, there’s no better career No bosses, no client, no customers - just you on the charts for a couple hours a day But it takes a lot of work to get to that level and you need to be prepared for that

Most days I’m in my head chasing goals, dialing in on routine. But on days like this where you get to rip an amg on the coastal highway with a baddie by your side, you realize how it’s all worth it. The constant grind to be better yields an enjoyable life.

5/5 When everything that needs to be done is determined, trading is boring. This is a correct expression, and I say it too. However, it's just an expression, and if you're constantly watching screens, waiting for something while repeatedly saying you're bored or have nothing to do, you should be careful. Check if you're unconsciously seeking excitement. And if what you need to do is truly clear and there's no point in staying in front of the charts, set your chart alerts or time alarms and step away from the charts to focus on your daily life. Trading requires appropriate distance, and when you eliminate everything except the process, there really isn't much you need to do. Make your life outside of trading fulfilling.
