I’ll never blame any Chelsea player for wanting to leave. I’ve seen some of the very best walk away at the peak of their powers Courtois, Hazard, Rudiger. They left when we were competing at the highest level, and Chelsea still moved forward. My hope now is that Alonso comes in and turns things around. PSG can be the blueprint. They made difficult decisions, backed their manager, and under Enrique transformed from serial bottlers into one of the best teams in the world. Chelsea must do the same. Give Alonso what he needs and allow him to rebuild this club in his image. No sporting director should be signing players based on personal preference. Every player who walks through the doors of Cobham should be someone Alonso wants, someone he has a plan for, and someone he has approved. Managers should be judged by the teams they build. Let Alonso build his. If anyone wants to go , let them leave . Let’s just take it that this project has failed and start it right this time .
