@data_wrangler2 @annoyingastros Looks like it was a memorandum 1-1 issued after the Red Sox were caught and looks similar to language that made it into the 2020 or 2021 (I forget which year) rulebook. In 2017 there was nothing prohibiting it, and well known now as a league wide problem, and Astros scapegoating.

No. They can pressure people to resign, accept punishment as much as they want, but cheating requires the breaking of a rule, of which there was none.
