Note to Iran: If you repeat ad nauseam that you will be going to Pakistan purely on a bilateral visit and will not talk to the Americans or discuss the status of the talks then the effect on public opinion is precisely the opposite - when you try and make a point too many times and try and make it using a multi de of course then chances are people will stop believing you

No Iran-U.S. talks to take place during FM Abbas Araghchi’s visit to Pakistan, only bilateral engagement, I was told by a senior Iranian source. The FM will visit Muscat and Moscow too to discuss developments. A source familiar with regional discussions told me that Russia has some ideas to help break the deadlock, Oman close ties with Tehran could be also be useful to get an exit from the current crisis over getting back to talks.
