Now Spirit’s collapsing, thousands of jobs are on the line, and the ultra-low fares that kept the big airlines honest are disappearing.
So what did we actually protect?
Because it looks a lot like we traded competition for consolidation…and called it a win.
At some point the government has to realize: intervening isn’t the same as helping.
