Nairobi voters don't get enough smoke. Someone voted in alai, elachi, passaris and moved on with life. And yet they keep castigating boomer parents upcountry for making poor choices at the ballot.

Ngong-Suswa is the most atrocious project I've ever seen. Today, they're cutting off sections of the climbing part of the escarpment. @KeRRA_Ke how did that 67km atrocity cost us Ksh. 3.8B. @ray_omollo since you're invested in it, send @DCI_Kenya to KERRA offices to make arrests.

BREAKING: The William Ruto govt signed a defence deal with France allowing French troops to operate inside Kenya. And now a Parliament report has confirmed it, while trying to amend two of some dangerous clauses partially. Let that sink in. At a time when African countries are expelling French military presence, Kenya is opening the door. The deal is too open and risky. Here’s the reality: If a French soldier commits a crime in Kenya: France can detain them and not kenya France can influence jurisdiction If France rushes a trial (even unfairly), Kenya may NEVER prosecute again That is reduced sovereignty. The deal allows “training and other activities.” What exactly are “other activities”? Why so vague? We’ve already seen what happens with the BATUK: Community harm and even deaths Environmental damage by brits using white phosphorus Weak accountability eg the wanjiru case wher the murderer is being protected in the UK Now we’re repeating it, with the french military? Across Africa: Mali 🇲🇱 Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 Niger 🇳🇪 All pushed out French forces over these exact concerns. So why is Kenya going backwards? And here’s the bigger fear: 👉 This is not just about “training” 👉 Kenya risks becoming a base for foreign military operations in Africa, because the french are good at this. 👉 We could be dragged into conflicts that are not ours Why are we signing deals we would NEVER be allowed to have in Europe? Why can’t Kenyan forces operate in France the same way? Because they would never accept it. So why should we? Read the agreement. Read the Parliament report. Ask questions. Before this becomes law.

The completion of the Ngong–Suswa Highway is a major milestone and a true game changer for regional connectivity. Now fully operational, the approximately 70 kilometre tarmac road provides a critical alternative to the often congested Nairobi–Mai Mahiu Road along the escarpment. The highway creates a direct and more efficient link from Ngong Town to Suswa, significantly reducing travel time for motorists heading to Narok, Bomet and Kisii Counties as well as other parts of the larger Western Kenya. The highway is already unlocking significant economic opportunities along the corridor. Farmers and livestock traders in Kajiado County now enjoy faster and more reliable access to markets in Nairobi, enabling them to move produce and livestock more efficiently while reducing transport costs. Improved accessibility has also triggered a steady rise in land value and stimulated new investments, including petrol stations, service centres, hospitality facilities and other roadside enterprises that are creating jobs and expanding local commerce. At the national level, the highway plays an important role in decongesting traffic along the Nairobi–Mai Mahiu escarpment corridor, particularly during festive seasons or in situations where the route is disrupted by accidents, landslides or floods. Through the coordination of the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, the corridor benefits from strengthened road safety awareness, improved coordination with security agencies and enhanced administrative oversight along the route.

Whoever came up with KPLC's standard operating procedure was pure evil. You go to Kenya Power and tell them you want them to supply power; they make you buy the post, wire, and meter. They then tell you that those things you just bought are now the property of Kenya Power. They then charge you a fee to come and connect you to the grid. Then they make you wait for months. When you think they're done, just like major, they hit you with another banger: they randomly switch off power and don't shout at them. It must be nice 😊.
