@DDrolapas @seekmarin I would love to see more SFH’s on expressways, 19th Ave, on or near trains lines, and near train/bus stops be converted into multiunit residencies. SFH’s belong in the suburb, and the Urban Suburb we developed 70yr ago here has reached its limit. Starting with the Zoo & Lakeside.

@DDrolapas @seekmarin This has nothing to do with the area & more to do with having problematic tenants. Single Family Homes only make up for 27% of homes in SF, but take up to 67% of land. You get more space, more privacy, & more bang for your buck with SFH’s; hence why they’re in higher demand.

A brother and sister inherited property 40 years ago in the Sunset district of San Francisco. The sister got a house and the brother got a 6 unit apartment building. Long story short, the house is worth more than the apartment building.

@seekmarin @DDrolapas She’s right. SFH’s appreciate much faster than multi units, mainly because of rent control, protected tenants, eviction costs, constant maintenance and repairs, etc… unless if the multiunit building can be sold vacant, then it gains more value since it’s less of a headache.

@DDrolapas Single family homes in the city have always gone at a premium because there is less supply and consequently a higher demand.

@aadilpickle Cavalli Cafe is open until 11pm weekdays and 11:30pm on weekends and always seems to have seating… it’s two floors and has outlets. Love “The Godfather” neon-sign reference too :)

anyone have cafe reccs in sf? in order of importance: - big windows - available non-stool seating - open late (6 pm is fine, later is better) - outlets - good matcha - lack of hood activity current fave is motoring coffee by far

There are maybe 5 great looking filming locations for rent in San Francisco. This is one of them. I constantly see it in videos (and I rented it once). It’s called “Creative SOMA Loft - Off-site Space” and it’s sort of expensive $300/hr (4hr minimum). It looks great due to the variety of textures (soft wood ceiling, stone wall, light hardwood floor) and well-distributed exposure throughout. We need to do better at production design for startups.

@_xiled @KenjiCapital It's not 'care so much' as much as pointing out a proposed loss of parking (in a nabe already hurting for it) in exchange for a multi-story building with no onsite parking and which will ruin the light for about eight existing apartments.

For decades this corner in the Mission District has been… a parking lot. Now it could become 35 apartments in an 8-story flatiron-style building just a block from the 24th Street BART Station. Small site. Transit-rich location. Long overdue housing. 📍San Francisco

I moved to SF one year ago with my 1-year-old. It’s by far exceeded my expectations, but it’s mad expensive with a kid

That was the beginning of China opening up their economy to become more capitalistic. Of course there’s no such thing as a country that is 100% capitalist or 100% communist. The U.S. obviously has socialist aspects, like It includes welfare-state programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment benefits, and public education, funded by progressive taxation and wealth redistribution. The model still holds true, the more capitalistic a country is the better off they are. Capitalist is a dirty word that is misleading. The word or words you should use are free enterprise. You are free to buy and sell products at your own discretion. The government can tell you what to sell your products for. (That’s the free enterprise)

@DalesNeedlessR1 @KenjiCapital Mmm, not quite the same route. Yes, they both go south, but BART follows along San Jose Ave while the old SF/SJ Train line cut diagonally thru the Mission.

@KenjiCapital Fun fact, the land it’s on is shaped like that bc of the original SF-SJ railroad line (now Caltrain, but despite the current bayshore cut route, BART follows a silmilar path underground from the mission to millbrae)

@HeidihkKyle @nypost Honestly compared to most brands, they have less artificial flavors, coloring, and chemicals. And TJ isn’t ONLY frozen food. They literally have a full supermarket. Fruits, veggies, fresh bread, and healthy snacks options. ⬇️Trader Joe’s Other brand⬇️

@nypost I have friends who think they’re eating healthy at TJ’s, just look at the list of ingredients that take up nearly half the package and it should shock you enough to walk away.
