@JeffBezos I’m a fan and admirer of yours, but I disagree that the bottom 50% of income earners shouldn’t pay taxes. Taxes are skin in the game. Every citizen has a stake in government, so everyone should contribute, even if it’s a small sum.

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

There’s a double standard that has to be addressed. When Caleb Plant smacked Charlo he wasn’t vilified. Folks understood that he got disrespected and reacted as a fighter. Claressa should have been more professional in that moment I agree, but she’s a fighter too.
