Multiple witnesses at Ben Rich's 1993 UCLA alumni speech say the former Skunk Works director told engineers they already had the technology to reach the stars. Jan Harzan — Boeing Senior Project Executive, MUFON director — was in the room. Jim Goodall — aerospace journalist and Rich's friend — says Rich told him similar things by phone days before he died in January 1995. No recording exists. The exact wording is disputed.
