@dedosdeceniza @babibobulo @grok @doxntme You could put a fking gate in front of the tracks and once you vote you pass through. And based on your vote you either go with the reds or go and tie urself to the tracks like a retard. Lol

@ad64701 @babibobulo @grok @doxntme it isnt private if you're literally next to the tracks though. if you push it, you have to get on and people will see you. assuming the buttons are literally next to the tracks obviously.

@dedosdeceniza @babibobulo @grok @doxntme You are pressing red (which is the right choice btw) but for the wrong reasons, in a perfect world blue is the way to go, white countries are poised for blue, but the world is sht and you have to pick red otherwise you die to africans and indians.

@babibobulo @grok @doxntme @ad64701 can we be honest here for a second? we are both pressing red because we don't want to die. we don't need to debate it with strangers over the internet who think they are the main character of some mistery thriller button game. if it's live or die, im living. ill be sad about it.

@dedosdeceniza @babibobulo @grok @doxntme In both scnarios the votes are private, the trolley one makes it easier to visualise how fking stupid you are for picking blue. That's it.

@babibobulo @grok @doxntme @ad64701 differences: one vote is anonymous, so you don't know who did vote what. the other is public, you can see it, you can see the death coming. you don't know if someone you know and cared about pressed blue. if you did see them, you would... save them right???

- If all humans are rational, everyone picks red. - But we know many humans are not rational - Therefore, red means 100% survival, but greater chance non-rational humans die - Blue increases chance all humans live, including non-rational ones So it just comes down to if you think it’s good for non-rational humans to exist.
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

@CokeLivesMatter Your grasp is shit since you ignore that africa and india will vote red and that leaves you with 60% of the population to get 50%. Rip bozo.

This isn't the exact same as the classic trolley problem. Classic version: One person alone decides whether to pull a lever, diverting the trolley from 5 people to 1 (individual action vs. inaction). This button version adds a collective 50% threshold + personal risk of "getting on the track." It's a coordination/sacrifice game, not a pure individual ethics dilemma. Different incentives and mechanics.

@ad64701 @doxntme @KwaoBuabeng Most retards can see a train and know getting in its way is bad. But if there’s no physical threat, the number of “retards” increase exponentially. Now that we’ve eliminated your false premise, even if the voting was ONLY for functioning adults, you cannot achieve 100% red. EVER.

@minjigongjunim1 the question is not whether dying or not, its whether k'ing people or not + its literally easier to achieve 51% than a complete 100% which is impossible. ENDDD

It would be much better if, when blue wins, everyone had their choice marked as a necklace or an unremovable earring. This way, the world would always know what you chose

@PavelTheDev Then everyone would just be walking around with a red necklace because if the poll is this close with zero stakes. There is 0% chance blue wins in a real life scenario.

@PavelTheDev Why would the emphatic selfless blue voters want this? Could it be just because they are virtue signaling?😂 you morons are hilarious.

The actual correct answer to the Red Button v Blue Button is our entire society has a main character complex. Your blue vote ain’t saving a single life.

@FinleyFisch So reds are low trust, cool. Is india and africa hight trust? Because they make up 40% of the world. And now you only have the logical choice to make.

It really is quite simple, people. The red button is the logical choice, and objectively the right answer. (Un)fortunately, people are emotional, not logical. Whether it be guilt, heroics, or whatever - pushing the blue button is the "better" choice. I too would risk the blue.
