*NOTICE - SOLAR FLARE ACTIVITY - 03262025* With Solar maximum still holding on throughout 2025, we will take this time to remind everyone that when you hear "Northern Lights" it also means that there's a strong possibility that the ionospheric scintillation that causes the nighttime show, has the possibility to cause issues with GPS devices. Over the last couple hours the @NOAA was reporting a Moderate G2 interference. When we see G3 it generally means issues. Those can be described as the following; -Difficulty achieving and maintaining a fixed or converged position. -Position shifts and jumps can occur. For instance, the guidance line may jump over and then back in short periods of time. These disturbances generally only last a few hours and are not generally seen across our entire region. We will continue to update through the season, so make sure you follow. Plan ahead, use the latest technology, make sure your subscriptions are upto date, upgrade if neccesary and check the following; swpc.noaa.gov gnssplanning.com/#/charts deltapowerprecision.com
