Dear men, I just wanted to share this before I fully move on from this topic because I want posterity to see that I made an effort. It’s Saturday, and today is a good day to take that first step toward bonding with your kids.
We know it has been a very busy week, and you are tired. If you’re home, please try not to sleep all day. Get some rest, then ask your kids to find a book and read to you. If they fear you, calmly reassure them that they are not in trouble and that reading to you will make you feel better. Seeing that they can help you in a vulnerable moment will make them happy. Ask them to tell you their favorite stories. Do they like to play football? Watch them play and cheer them on. Do they enjoy playing “suwe”? Cheer them on while they play. Do you have any games at home? Play with them. Do they have a favorite movie? Watch it with them. Ask about their week. Find out what they like and don’t like about school. Talk to them about your work. Share what you do for a living and explain it in a way they can understand. Let them be close to you. Use a calm voice with them. Don’t let it be that the only time they hear your voice is when they do something wrong. As their father, be their confidant and comforter, not just their punisher. When their mother reports them to you, tell her to handle the situation. Don’t discipline them over everything. Sometimes, you just need to talk to them. Praise and boost their confidence when they do something right. When they make mistakes, encourage them to learn from them. Children will always be children; they will make mistakes. It is our responsibility to guide them. Make them comfortable in the house you built for them. Don’t let them walk on eggshells around you. Eat with them. Relax with them.
If you are not home with them, today is a good day to call and check on them. Don’t tell their mom to say hi to them, ask her to give them the phone so you can speak to them directly. If they fear you enough not to want to talk, ask their mom to put the phone on speaker. Don’t you think they would love to hear your voice? Don’t you think it’s important for them to know that you are okay? Don’t you think they miss their dad? Hearing your voice could make their day. Call them and ask what they ate. If their mom calls you to report them, tell her you trust her to handle it. She can discipline them too. When you get home, talk to them about it and give them tips on how to avoid making the same mistakes. You can speak to them for just a minute, and it will always be worth it. Tell them you miss them and that you can’t wait to see them. Showing that you care will give them comfort.

@Msmenalicious This thing happens a lot. They wouldn't have done anything if you don't answer. I'm surprised they've started doing it to females. Chai!

So this morning, I was heading home and took a keke to a bus stop. I alighted from the keke and a guy walked up to me saying "you are wearing grey and black. There are some boys waiting to shoot you because you are wearing cultist colors"
I got scared as I heard "shoot" and that was how he engaged me in a conversation. He started asking if I have anything 77 on my number or email address. I said No. He asked for my email address and I gave him an old email I don't use any more.
He asked for my DOB and I gave him a wrong date. Then he said he has to go through my phone to be sure I was not lying. I was confused because why? So he said people in the area are looking at me as they killed a pregnant woman that wore the same color yesterday.
The mistake I made was handing my phone over to him. He made me trek from Mass burial ground area to Canoe and said I should use my left hand to hold N500. He directed me to a woman selling ogogoro to go buy for his boss as the boss also called to threaten me.
All the while, my phone was still with him. I don't even stay around that area and so I didn't understand what was happening. Before I could cross the road to go buy the ogogoro, the guy holding my phone disappeared.
I have activated lost mode on the Iphone and blocked my account. I'm so livid right now..

Something crazy just happened to me right now. Some boys walked up to me and said I was flying cultist uniform color and collected my phone from me. I will drop full gist soon. Let me go and block my account in the bank as I'm chatting via my laptop.

@Oreofe_06 So why didn't you do the first operation at lasuth..omo the truth Is your family negligence killed your sister..
English

A doctor forgot a scissors in my sister stomach after surgery and we lost her 😭
On the 28th March 2026 my sister okolie ngozi blessing ,went for a fibroid surgery at OAR medical center in ilepo abule egba ( igoke estate) ,which led to the beginning of of my sister dilemma .The operation was said to be successful
3 days after the surgery(on March 31st) my sister was complaining about serious stomach pain ,and her stomach started bloating ,we suggested that the hospital should run a scan to know what is going on but they refused telling us even if we do scan we can’t see anything that will cause for Alarm ,but the severe stomach pain didn’t stop .
After the back and forth for 10 days (April 7th) after the surgery they finially referred us to a clinic to do scan, and a nurse from the hospital followed,on getting to the clinic ,we found out they don’t even have a scanning equipment 🤦♀️.we decided to take her to another clinic to run a scan ,the nurse that followed was against it but we insisted .The scan result showed that they left An Artery forceps in my sister stomach 😭🤦♀️.
We got back to the hospital showed them the result they decided on operating her immediately but as at then my sister was already too weak for another operation we begged them to refer us to a better hospital they refused and went ahead with the operation.
Two days after the second surgery, she was still weak, her stomach still swollen. We kept on begging them to refer her, but they refused😭.
On April 11, around 3 a.m.when their fuel finished while she was on oxygen, and they said they don’t have fuel again. We took her out of OAR Medical Centre and drove her to LASUTH .
Six days before we took her out of the hospital Dr Abiodun Ojifinn, was nowhere to be found. Every time we called, he kept saying he would come the next day, but he never showed up.
At Lasuth, they asked us to pay for the ICU immediately which we did, and she was admitted. Just one day in the ICU, they told us her heart had stopped. My sister Blessing Okolie could no longer breathe.
