Some of you have noticed I've been a little quiet for a while. Here's what I was doing. When my wife Alicia was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, our neurologist told us food didn't affect the disease. I couldn't accept that answer. So I spent months reading every peer-reviewed study I could find on autoimmune nutrition. Testing ideas in our kitchen. Learning what actually helps. Heal Your Table is what came out of that work. 75 gluten-free, dairy-free anti-inflammatory recipes. A complete 4-week meal plan with shopping lists. Dedicated chapters for MS, Hashimoto's, lupus, RA, IBD, and psoriasis. And the science explained in plain English. I wrote it for families like mine — the ones cooking for someone they love while trying to figure out what will actually help. The full book launches soon. A free chapter is available right now at healyourtable.com. Thank you for your patience while I was away. This is why. — Bassey (Therealbelano) I would like some follow also on Instagram too, where I’ll be posting new recipes and contents about Autoimmune diseases and general health care @healyourtable

I know I complain a lot when you stress me out, but you are the sweetest, cutest, loveliest baby I have ever known, who wouldn’t love to have an amazing son like you? God has kept you in good health for 12 months, even though you crawl into unknown places and before we can pick you up, you’ve already stuck that hand in your mouth, lol 😂. You eat anything , sweet and bitter, no restrictions, no allergies. You are so smart it started scaring me at times, but I count it as a blessing. I am a little ready for the next amazing phase, my little Chicharito, except I don’t enjoy changing your diapers because it is always a war, and I can’t wait for you to be potty trained. You are God’s gift to me and your mama, and we love you to death. ❤️❤️❤️

I heard a group of dendritic cells talking the other day. One was complaining, "Honestly, the amount of antigen presentation I have to do before anyone even notices me... it's exhausting!"

After COVID, collecting money from the bank in Ikorodu was honestly one of the most frustrating seasons of my life. It wasn’t just stressful, it was draining physically and emotionally. Every Monday morning, I would leave my house by 5am, just so I could get to the bank early. I’d arrive around 6am thinking I was ahead of the crowd… but the queue was already crazy. It didn’t matter how early you went, you could never be number one or two. The crowd, the heat, the tension. It was always the same story. And sometimes, you even had to “settle” security before they allowed you inside. I remember calling out that particular bank on Twitter one time because it was just too much. Then after standing outside for 3 to 4 hours, you’d finally enter the banking hall… only to hear, “There’s no network.” On a Monday morning. And that meant more waiting. More sitting. More standing. Nothing was promised. There was one particular day I can never forget. I wanted to pick up $300. I started from the bank in Ikorodu. No network. No dollars. They said dollars were scarce that period. After waiting and waiting, I left there and went to another bank at Palmgrove. When I finally got there, they could only give me part of the money, and it came in smaller denominations. $20s, $10s, even $5 bills. And we all know what that means. The smaller the currency, the lower the exchange value when you want to change it. I still had to go to another branch of the same bank in Anthony to collect the remaining balance. That day, I left my house before 5am and didn’t get back until after 6pm. Over 12 hours outside. Just to collect and change money. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. Not just tired, mentally drained. Before I even changed the money, I had already suffered. The only reason it wasn’t worse was because I knew a man who had a domiciliary account in the bank and could help change my money. Sometimes, I would just pay the money into his domiciliary account and he would give me the naira equivalent. He understood. That small understanding saved me a lot of stress. But the truth is, not everyone has someone like that. Then I moved to the U.S., and something kept bothering me. I kept thinking about my mum. How would she go through that same stress? My aged mother queuing for hours, moving from one bank to another, just to receive $100 or $200? It didn’t sit well with me at all. After everything parents sacrifice for us, why should receiving support become another struggle? That was when I started looking seriously for something better. I needed a way to send money home without putting my family through that stress. And that’s when I discovered TapTap Send. With TapTap Send, I can send money directly to any Nigerian bank account. UBA, Access bank, OPay, any bank at all — straight to their account number. No long queues. No “there’s no network.” No running from Ikorodu to Palmgrove to Anthony. The exchange rates are fair and competitive. The setup is simple. The transfers are smooth. What used to take me a full day of stress now takes just a few minutes on my phone. Now when I send money home, my family receives it peacefully. No drama. No exhaustion. Just credit alert. And that peace of mind? It means everything to me. And here’s something even better. If you’re a first-time user, when you send $50 or more on your first transfer, you get a $20 bonus. Yes, $20 extra added. Just for making that first transfer. So if you’re already planning to send money home, why not let your first transfer reward you too? If you’re in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe and you send money home, please don’t let your loved ones go through unnecessary stress. Download TapTap Send, use my promo code :Belano or use this link taptapsend.onelink.me/Lrab/yu7xa8hz . Send $50 or more on your first transfer, and enjoy the $20 bonus as a first-time user. Let your family receive money in peace and let your money go even further.

This new standard of speaking your language in an incoherent way in OOTD to show people that you can’t speak your language is funny. (People who actually can) ‘’ Bag mi, mo buy e ni Gucci‘’. You should have just said ‘’Egusi ni bag mi’’. If you can speak your language/dialect, speak it very well, it doesn’t diminish your steeze, it’s rather more interesting that you have a good command of English and you can command your own language to come as well. Dan ko use n ti se rghan kuro nuwaju mi !

Today, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft landed at Toronto International Airport in Canada. The plane was scheduled to return to Islamabad after a two hour stopover. However, unfortunately, the entire crew of the aircraft, including the pilots, surrendered themselves to the authorities and applied for asylum. As a result, new pilots have been called in for the aircraft, and from now on, Pakistani planes will no longer operate direct flights in Canada.
