Rice and Anderson brings back unhappy memories of Rice and Phillips under Southgate. Rice is a decent player but has the creativity of a boiled potato. Playing both vs a low block was a hard watch. Given we left Wharton at home, can we at least give Bellingham a try there?

I don’t ‘hate’ Rice, I see his value as a player, but he is a defensive Midfielder being played higher up the pitch because he has the legs to press but lacks the top end quality to receive under pressure and progress the ball from deep to play in his natural position.
