Sales of second hand electric vehicles more than doubled last month! Nothing like a fuel crisis to incentivise people to buy EVs. #EVs

@ajWasThere @renew_economy Yes the recycling claim is part of the “ circular supply chain “ claims made by several RE advocates and is included in the sales pitch. The simple fact is that recycling at scale is not happening, and appears economically unviable.

@ajWasThere @renew_economy Regardless, the claim that solar panels are being recycled is part of the sales pitch for them. At the moment it appears that putting end of life panels into landfills , currently costs less than recycling.

I don't believe this is an accident. The timing is too cute. We are being pushed toward war. The establishment in the West sucks. I don't trust it. Do you?

Australia's economy is on the verge of total collapse. Forced work from home will be the knock-out blow. If business found it so brilliant, they wouldn't have brought everyone back to the office. If the government wants to tell me how to manage my teams, it should pay them.

Australia is on the brink of entering the next stage of the government's emergency fuel plan, an expert has warned, which could include widespread calls for Australians to work from home. skynews.com.au/australia-news…

@quanyum94 @ausstockchick In 30 days, right, that's what you are saying, have fun with that. Energy security was a significant factor in my purchase. CO2 not that much although I do charge it from solar. But that is more because its free.

@ajWasThere @ausstockchick Since when do we not have fuel?? I think the dickhead is you who bought an EV that produces the same amount of CO2 as a petrol car, or you paid many many thousands of $ to go of grid??🤣🤣🤣

@EnergyWrapAU You people keep changing the goal posts. Every coal plant that closes you say this will lead to massive blackout. Yet Solar has made the grid more stable not less.

As is bound to happen the wind disappeared from SA during yesterday’s peak demand period. Did batteries reduce the peak or did they just take advantage of it? Imports from cheap VIC brown coal couldn’t reduce prices - that resource was maxed out. Gas generators made more total $ than batteries because they output a LOT more MWh. SA gas peaker plant is increasing output over time, as are imports from VIC. SA will always need 100% capacity in electricity supply that’s not weather dependent. A system with massive excess capacity that’s under-utilised obviously costs more than an equivalent system with just the necessary excess capacity.

I dont think the Australian political class realizes the damage they are doing to undermine our society with their commentary. Claiming One Nation voters are motivated by racism or that racist "dogwhistling" is being done by the Coaliton for votes helps no one. One Nation holds the vote of 28% of the electorate, 26% of migrants and getting on for 1 in 5 individuals who do not speak English at home. Accusing great swathes of the population of being intricably linked to racism is a deeply concerning as it is counter-productive. Equally so for making the claim that the Coalition is "dogwhistling", that somehow the block of voters who are deeply racist is so large that it can make this major difference politically. Some of the followers of these people have a go at people like myself for using facts to point out what is mostly already blatantly obvious. Perhaps look at some of your leaders for the ones who are truly undermining social cohesion.

We knew it all along but allowed it happen With only 30 days of reserves, and near-total dependence on imports, restrictions on oil availability would bring us to our knees. Security only comes from self sufficiency not begging for handouts or 30 days more in reserve #Auspol2026

Solar panels contain small amounts of heavy metals and other substances that can pose risks if they leach into soil or groundwater: • Crystalline silicon (c-Si) panels (the most common type, ~90–95% of the market) often include trace lead (from soldering or metallization) and sometimes selenium or other metals. • Thin-film panels (e.g., cadmium telluride or CdTe) contain cadmium, a toxic heavy metal. If leaching occurs, it risks contaminating groundwater or soil, potentially affecting ecosystems and human health (e.g., heavy metals like lead and cadmium are harmful at elevated levels). While intact panels are durable and sealed (with glass, aluminum frames, and encapsulants like EVA polymer), landfills involve compaction and long-term exposure, increasing the chance of breakage. Some studies and experts note that regular landfill disposal is “not recommended” in case of breakage, as toxins could migrate

How long before we go to level 3 of the fuel emergency plan? A month? The fire in Victoria has come at the worst time. It’s too soon to say what impact the refinery fire has had on supply. Mixed messages are coming from the media as always. #ausbiz #auspol

What's the bet, now that there was a "non-suspicious" fire at an Australian refinery, they are going to go to level 3 fuel restrictions. Australia - stop voting for the establishment. They have wrecked everything and they're corrupt. Ready to take targeted action 🎬

@maizrapaz @tillathenun You said what will you do when youR mileage is limited via it's SMART controls? All cars are controlled by their computer so all cars can be controlled. You are a fool if you think this is an EV issue.
