It's time to admit the game was always mid. A visually generic UE5 slop with a normieficated turn-based system and disappointing story that people overhyped because they fell into the trap of easy drama and pretty music.

@KitsuneroVT Like I spent an hour using the Odachi alone to kill enemies regardless of what weapon they are using. It really just sounds like you’re too miserable and over-critical to enjoy anything in life. I feel sorry for you.

@KitsuneroVT Everything you complain about is such a non issue. You can skip starting up your campfire. You can skip the cooking. The game does not “FORCE” you to use a specific weapon. Like did you even play at all? It only encourages it. But you can use whatever with zero drawback.

Played like 4 hours of ghost of yotei today. The game is aggresively mid. Story is alright, nothing outstanding so far. Average revenge plot. The combat wants to be a duel, where you are able to strike, block and parry, and can learn even more things thoughtout the game. You get dual katana's very early on, with an option to swap between one blade and two blades. BUT, the game FORCES you which weapon to use against which enemy weapon. (solo blade against katana wielders, dual blades against spear wielders) The game has WAY too many gimmicks and mini games, that seemingly are only there to show you what your PS5 controller can do and to artifically inflate the time you spend in the game. Instead of feeling immersed, it's unneccessary and a literal waste of time. For example, when camping in the open world, you have to start up your own fire by swiping up many times and hitting R2 over and over again. You have to cook your food by using the gyoroscope of the controller and physically moving it down. Sure, cute gimmick, but no actual purpose was served, and havng to do this every single time, is just a waste of time. 80 bucks for this is a waste, do not spend your money on this, don't even buy it on a sale lol, just replay the original.

@EndersFPS You’re literally just complaining just to complain. They said they’ve changed the movement to feel more like traditional battlefield. Which there was NOTHING wrong with traditional battlefield movement. So what the fuck is the issue? Negative miserable ahh human being stfu ☠️.

And right there, the gameplay becomes *significantly* worse. There was nothing wrong with the way the movement was in the beta, and some areas were arguably too penalized already. I have no idea why they insist on ruining the feel of moving around. Nothing was OP or spammy.
