What you describe is not a basis for a good relationship. If there is a possibility that with time your prospective partner can accept your daughter then it might be worthwhile seeing where it will go but you cannot know this in advance and could be wasting your time. For what it’s worth I suggest that you cut your losses and, if necessary, resign yourself to being a single parent. Fostering your daughter with family on a permanent basis is an alternative but risks estrangement in the long term. It depends on what is most important to you.

The settlements are being razed to the ground to ensure that there is no building from which Hezbollah can store or launch missiles. The population has been evacuated so that there is no possibility of sanctuary for Hezbollah. If Lebanon can successfully disarm Hezbollah peace may come to the region and lost villages can be reconstructed and reoccupied by their original inhabitants. But it can’t happen while the rockets continue to fly at Iran’s bidding.

There is no evidence that Israel intends to annex that part of South Lebanon as far as the Litani river or that Jewish settlers will be allowed to settle there. The current action is to sanitise the area to prevent Hezbollah having access to launch missiles. However, there is a pov that the Litani river would make a better natural border between Israel and Lebanon but that depends on final peace treaty terms.

Israel announced that they will occupy almost 10% of Lebanon, an area larger than Bahrain, New York, or Singapore. What Israel is doing is clearly aimed at ethnic cleansing and colonization, and every world leader who's silent about this is complicit, along with their people.

@SqSehrish The answer could also be 0, or 6 depending on the order of operations e.g 7x2=14, 17-14=3, 3+3=6 OR 7x2=14, 14+3=17, 17-17=0

@MaryHarir Ask Israel why they did this. They usually have reasons for their actions

Lebanon and UNIFIL has had 20 years to stop Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel from the south of the country. It has failed abysmally. So Israel is sanitising the territory that sheltered Hezbollah’s launch sites, missile storage areas etc. Whilst it will be nearly impossible to defeat Hezbollah completely, limiting its freedom to move south of the Litani river will also limit the effective range of its missiles. For the long term it might be necessary for Lebanon to receive effective external assistance in order to demilitarise paramilitaries within its borders

Israel has destroyed 37,836 homes, killed 2,000+ people, and murdered 250+ children in Lebanon. It’s only been 40 days.

Your statement is not logical. Both of my statements are logically consistent with the rules of war. Suppose that a member of Hamas or PIJ was present at the wedding and was complicit in the actions on 7 October. He would be a legitimate target. The fact that he was at a wedding would be unfortunate for those with him. They would not be the target but would suffer because of his presence. The need to destroy him precludes the possibility of providing an advance warning. Israel is noted for providing advance warnings to minimise casualties but the ability to do this depends on circumstances. Hamas, Hezbollah etc habitually launched missiles from civilian areas. Retaliation directed at launch sites always risked injury to innocents but that was to the advantage of Hamas, Hezbollah etc for propaganda purposes and a deliberate tactic. So Israel gets the blame and you fell for it.

@allcods @dlLambo @abierkhatib You said that Israel had to have a reason to attack the wedding. Now you say the IDF try hard to avoid killing innocent people. If you believe the 1st statement is true then you know the 2nd is a lie. The IDF has killed thousands of innocents in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel admitted bombing A WEDDING in Gaza City yesterday. They murdered 7 people inc a 4 month old baby. You won't hear about this on any news station, because they're Palestinians and Israel did it. If an Israeli wedding was bombed you'd know their names, faces and stories.

@barrydean22 @dlLambo @abierkhatib The IDF does actually try hard to avoid killing people who are innocent. Unfortunately that can’t be said for their adversaries who are quite happy to do so even when it involves their own people

@allcods @dlLambo @abierkhatib I don't support anyone who thinks it reasonable to kill innocent people for their cause...not Hamas, Hezbollah nor the IDF.

My city, Beit Hanoun, a city once home to 50,000 people, the “green city” that exported citrus and olives to the world. Its hospitals and clinics, its schools and mosques, its kindergartens and bridges, its homes, streets, and infrastructure, everything was completely bombed. And after it was bombed, it was bulldozed, until the city became a barren desert filled with piles of rubble. Here, the “most moral” army committed a genocide, leaving not a single house undestroyed, not even an olive tree remains.

Exactly. Read the international definition of genocide. Total destruction of the built environment is not genocide. Israel gets to decide how it should protect its population, not you or anyone else. If you had to deal with an adversary that launches more than 6000 missiles into your territory you might have a different. Put yourself in their shoes for a change.

@allcods @Ahmed_Nashwan_ Are you actually listening to what you are saying. Oooh that’s ok then. Removing all the safety and infrastructure to survive isn’t genocide?! NOTHING justifies what Israel is doing in the Middle East.
