साधारण कपड़े पहने, नंगे पैर दीवार पर बैठा एक व्यक्ति 3 रुपये का बोलपेन हाथ में लिए कागज के टुकड़े पर कुछ लिखता है। यह व्यक्ति हैं डॉक्टर शंकर गौडा गोल्ड मेडलिस्ट एमबीबीएस, कर्नाटक के मंडुआ से,*म और कोलकाता मेडिकल यूनिवर्सिटी से एमडी। उनका अपना क्लीनिक नहीं है। एक केबिन बनाने में लाखों रुपए लगते हैं। कहां से लाएंगे इतना पैसा ..?? वह शहर से दूर दो कमरों के मकान में रहता है। मरीज इलाज के लिए इतनी दूर कैसे आ सकते हैं, इसलिए वह रोजाना साइकिल से सुबह 7 बजे से शाम 7 बजे तक शहर के एक फास्ट फूड रेस्टोरेंट के बाहर बैठकर सैकड़ों गरीब मरीजों की जांच करते हैं. उनका अच्छी तरह से निदान करता है और सस्ती, जेनेरिक दवाएं लिखता है। क्या आपको पता है कि वह कितना चार्ज करता है? इसमें केवल 5 रुपये लगते हैं। जी हां, सिर्फ 5 रु. गोल्डमेडलिस्ट एमडी डिग्री वाले डॉक्टर गरीब मरीजों से सिर्फ 5 रुपए चार्ज करते हैं। आज की दुनिया में जहां डॉक्टर सचमुच गरीब, आम लोगों को लूट रहे हैं। किन्तु डॉ. शंकर गौडार बहुतों के लिए एक ईश्वरीय पुरुष है। ऐसे समाजसेवी मनुष्य को वंदन प्रणाम🙏🏻
