We have to go back to writing good stories. I know good is a subjective word but that's not what I mean. Authors are in a way forced to write cookie cutter stories based around specific tropes and genre expectations. Books are meant to stand out. That makes them good!

Please remember that if a publisher pubs 30 books per year, it doesn’t matter if I have 10 clients or 50 clients. That publisher is still only publishing 30 books and there are hundreds of literary agents in the USA with clients too. (Possibly more? Idk the number offhand)
