Maybe it's just the art direction, but I've always found it interesting how Xavier always ends up looking so clean and smooth. No body hair, no visible happy trail, just sun-kissed perfection🫣 Even at the beach, where a rougher look would've made sense, he still looks incredibly well-groomed. Considering he grew up as a prince, do you think that's an intentional part of his characterization, or am I reading way too much into the details??😭

Ultimately, it all boils down to misogyny and queerphobia, both of which I've noticed are rife in this fandom. Some people seem bothered by the fact that ⭐️ and 🐟 exhibit more "feminine traits", and use the other LIs to promote weird hypermasculine ideals.

oh it definitely is. and i think that’s part of why some of them get so weird ab starfish. they’ll dismiss them as “less masculine” bc they have softer features but the second they display traits that fit their definition of masculinity, suddenly it’s all shock and disbelief. and if they can’t act surprised, they try to downplay it instead. like what happened with rafs myth last year with that one 4*card or what’s happening rn with xavier. suddenly people are acting like he cannot possibly be athletic, can’t have muscle bc thats "XXX" thing 😭 brah what. im sorry xavier is all-in-one????

@escapingbeans That's exactly what she said, though. She was basically warning OP that, even though she uses she/her pronouns and it doesn't trigger her, it might trigger someone else who also uses she/her. The problem is the assumption everyone is comfortable with being called bro/sis, etc.

@escapingbeans @littleststaramy You've completely misunderstood Amy's point. She's telling that person — and now you — that some people are NOT comfortable with being addressed using gendered terms, even if they seem "neutral" to you, because it may be triggering to them.
