This is precisely the point. I am told Hindus in India have murdered people for not respecting cows. I am sure they have. All people in all countries across all times are capable of horror. But I have never been afraid that a Hindu would hurt me in the UK for eating beef. It appears to be only Islam that claims a world wide jurisdiction to enforce respect for its religion and includes as disrespect mere discussion or light mockery. I find this troubling.
