@MaxHirsch13 I wonder if it’s worth putting (lbs) next to the title since some workouts could have different units

One of my favorite features of Maxed AI: Your Week In Review. Get a Spotify-like weekly review of your workouts. See where you improved. See where you declined. All of this sht motivates me to be better the next week.

Every app now has these stylized marketing screenshots. Does that mean just having regular screenshots could make an app stand out more? Has anyone tested this?

Preparing to submit my workout app to the App Store next week. Since it’s a new app it won’t have any reviews or testimonials to show so I’m keeping the website simple with screenshots as the focus.

@GaudreaultSamul Fair point. Minimalist probably isn’t the best way to describe it anymore. The goal is to make an app that I like using and see if others like it too. I want it to feel “minimal” to use by having optional complexity and reduce the visual clutter as much as possible.

@armcn_ Initially, it was supposed to be a minimalistic approach on a gym app, don’t you think you’re adding too much features?

Charts in My Workout Logs have a lot of customization but I still want them to feel simple. You can set your defaults in Settings, then override them for individual exercises and those choices will be saved. Try the beta: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb

Personal opinion, I find most of the popular workout tracking apps have cluttered and unaesthetic UIs. In My Workout Logs I’m trying to design the analytics to show the information you need in a clean way while still having lots of customization options. Continuing to make improvements and open to suggestions on UX/UI. Beta: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb

Good idea, I can see the purpose for stretches or for things people don’t want to bother accurately tracking. It’s available in the latest TestFlight build.

@armcn_ It’s great! Thanks for responding. Have you considered adding “yes/no” logging options for workouts? (I would use a “yes or no” menu for certain stretching routines, or other things I’m measuring as an experiment, instead of making them an exercise with 1 minute limit to track.)

When I do an exercise like a weighted plank it’s annoying having to start the timer, get set up, do the hold, then subtract the setup time from the timer. I’m surprised more workout apps don’t have a countdown timer but I’ve added one for My Workout Logs. Try the beta: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb

@TheShOberlin Thanks! This was possible before by editing the date of a logged workout, but your comment made me realize there should be a quicker way do to this. Please install the latest update from TestFlight and let me know if you have any feedback.

@armcn_ Such a great app! A helpful option for me is the ability to fill in past workouts (with date and time) instead of only completing workouts by starting and stopping in real time. I’d like to expand my trackable metrics by my entire workout history. Thanks for considering this!

I’m working on a minimalistic workout logger because none of them felt user friendly to me. The goal is simplicity while still being able to track every kind of workout and exercise you can do. If that sounds interesting you can try an early beta release here: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb

@cptn_canada Like most developers I am delusional and think I can make a better one. For my purposes it is better but I don’t expect it to appeal to everyone.

@armcn_ Why would you pay money to advertise an app which has already been made so many times

Neomorphism and drop shadows may be out of fashion, but I still like them. I’m building theme customization into My Workout Logs so people can choose how the app looks instead of being stuck with one style. Beta test the app: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb

As a Canadian who does Olympic-style weightlifting one of the most important features for this app was simple lbs to kg conversion. I wanted to be able to switch between the two units at any time since I use both in the same session. Try the app: testflight.apple.com/join/sr5RE6Cb
