Funny how Republicans suddenly care about “taxpayer money” when it’s poor people buying soda but never when it’s billionaires getting tax cuts. This is what happens when you have no real solutions—just culture war nonsense.
Rep. Nancy Mace@RepNancyMace

The House just voted against banning soda from SNAP. Why should the government fund your soda purchases? If SNAP recipients want to buy sugary drinks, they can do it on their own dime, not on the backs of a taxpayer-funded nutrition program.

The victim is the other person you are causing to stumble into sin by having sex with them. Being an adult and consenting doesn't change the fact it's sinning. I believe Satan tries to influence us and that being gay is not something that is coded into you like people say. I believe people use that as an excuse. Saying oh God made me this way...why would he do that if it was bad. What happens is Satan begins to whisper in there ear, saying oh look at that guy/girl. Don't you want that. Then over time they make it their identity and make it seem like they were made this way. I also wanna say that I believe some Christians treat this sin worse then other sins. We need to speak truth in love with grace. We all fall short.

@Moonlight_myths He’s still very young and shouldn’t be focusing on things like this for now, do not question him or try to dismiss his feelings it might really be the internet and all these modern ideas and schools. Let him get to 20 or 22 first and decide again if his really straight or gay

My son is 14 years old. Two weeks ago, he asked to speak with me alone. He closed the door to his room, sat on the edge of his bed, and began fidgeting with his hands while avoiding eye contact. I thought he was in trouble at school, that he had been punished, or that he had gotten into a fight with someone. I asked him several times what was wrong, but he didn’t answer. Finally, he said, very quietly, that he likes men. He told me that for a long time he had felt different whenever his classmates talked about girlfriends. Then he confessed that he liked a classmate. After that, he stopped speaking and just stared at the floor, as if he were expecting me to scream or stand up. His hands were shaking and his eyes were red, as though he had been preparing for hours to say those words. He said he had known for over a year. He first started noticing these feelings when he was 13. He had tried to ignore them, searched the internet for answers, and deleted his phone history every day out of fear that his father would check it.

The same cell is a breeding ground for cancer, dwarfism, birth defects, immune diseases, and a thousand other fuck-ups. It has broken code, useless junk DNA, and a trash design that makes us age, get sick, and die painfully. No real skilled designer would ever build something this messy, faulty, and full of errors. “Divine engineering” what? Your god needs to fire his whole engineering team!
Carolina ❤️‍🔥@realCarola2Hope

The more science advances, the more difficult it becomes to be an atheist. Look at this: the most detailed image ever of a single human cell. Your body contains 37 trillion of them. This is divine engineering. God’s masterpiece.

I really wish we would stop framing everything wrong in our health system as corruption and fraud and malfeasance by scientists and doctors and public health workers. It destroys trust in the system, destroys the morale of the people actually out there on the front lines, and truly does nothing to actually make us healthier.

Hi, so the woman who carried and gave birth to me was 13 years old, celebrated her 14th birthday only days before I was born. I should’ve been aborted. It’s really terrible that she was made to carry and birth a baby while she was a child herself. Am I happy to be alive? Yes. Absolutely. Very happy to be here. Would I be mad had I been aborted? No, I wouldn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel anything. I shouldn’t exist. She was a child. The lives of girls/women are more valuable than fetuses.

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

RFK Jr. on his voice: “That turns out to be a vaccine injury… Do I know that it was caused by my annual flu shot? I have no idea. It’s a potential culprit that I cannot rule out. We should have that data, but we don’t.” We do. Spasmodic dysphonia is not on the Vaccine Injury Table. Not in flu vaccine package inserts. No signal in VAERS or VSD. The flu vaccine has four recognized injuries: anaphylaxis, SIRVA, vasovagal syncope, Guillain-Barré. SD is a focal laryngeal dystonia. Cause unknown in most cases, with a clear genetic contribution; about 15% of patients have a family history of neurological disorder. Not being able to rule something out isn’t evidence for it. I can’t rule out that the moon caused my flat tire. His skepticism only flows one way. He never says he can’t rule out that vaccines have nothing to do with it, which is the likeliest explanation by a wide margin.
healthbot@thehealthb0t

RFK Jr. reveals why he stopped getting the flu shot: “I was getting a flu shot every year.” “I stopped in 2005 when I began looking at the side effects.” “One of the injuries that was listed on a lot of them was spasmodic dysphonia, which is an injury I have to my voice.” “That turns out to be a vaccine injury.” “That’s why my voice is so screwed up.” “Do I know that it was caused by my annual flu shot? I have no idea.” “It’s a potential culprit that I cannot rule out.” “We should have that data, but we don't.”

Nobody ever talks about how the concept of the Individual must be so integral to what the universe is trying to accomplish that it's willing to lose the memory of itself, and possibly the integrity of its entire structure, in order to do so. That's how valuable you are.

I'm a convinced atheist and here is my drop: The world looks exactly as it should if no gods/god exist. Cold, indifferent, and brutally random. Stars explode and wipe out entire planets for no reason. Kids get cancer while rapists live to 90. One tiny rock in a sea of deadly vacuum somehow sprouts life that mostly suffers and dies. Atoms are 99.9% empty space, wasteful bullshit. Prayers change nothing. Miracles only happen in stories or blurry videos. If an all-powerful, all-loving God was running things, we’d see order, justice, and mercy. Instead we see chaos, suffering, and silence. Exactly what blind physics and dumb luck would produce. No divine architect. No cosmic parent watching over us. Just a messy universe doing its thing, and us temporary bags of meat trying to make sense of it before we blink out forever. That's reality. Deal with it.

No, it doesn’t. Purpose is subjective. What makes religion so relevant is that the universe shows no clear purpose at all. It simply expands, decays, and obeys physical laws with complete indifference to whether anything understands it or not. Humans, however, struggle to endure the absurdity of their existence and the careless nature of the cosmos. Even this Earth, so often claimed to be specially designed for us, has endured more than five mass extinction events, where nearly all species were wiped out without ceremony. Entire branches of life erased long before humans arrived to congratulate themselves as the chosen species. Then religion steps in to explain what humans cannot fathom, using God as a placeholder for ignorance. It offers purpose, meaning, cosmic importance, and an afterlife stories that make our brief existence feel grander than it is. It resonates because humans are intelligent enough to fear death, yet vulnerable enough to seek comfort from fiction. Cosmically, we are far less important than we imagine. Earth is a speck orbiting one ordinary star among hundreds of billions in the Milky Way, itself one galaxy among trillions. Every empire, war, prophet, prayer, romance, achievement, and ego crisis in human history happened on a grain of dust almost nobody in the universe would notice. And even that grain is temporary. The Sun will eventually swell and sterilize this planet. Our species will vanish like countless others before us. One day, no monument, scripture, nation, bloodline, or memory of humanity may remain. The universe will continue exactly as if we never happened. Yet some still believe their god dropped them onto this tiny dot to test their free will for admission into a heavenly kingdom. The arrogance is staggering. The stupidity, even more so.
