If you want to start making money an indie you need spend more time with your non-technical friends and family. 99.99% of people will never open a terminal ever ever ever. I don't care how amazing Claude code, or open claw gets.. if they have to open a terminal, they will NEVER use it. This is good news for you!!! Create GUI's and iOS apps to ULTRA simplify these amazing tools we play with. You have the ability to print money, but you need to destroy your current thought pattern.

@_MaxBlade I have found that both strength and cardio training works wonders for those that have rather sedentary jobs. I'm slowly getting back into it but can't do the full setup due to having a greenhouse eating up some space right now but not for long likely.

I’m sorry to tell you this on Friday afternoon. But the easiest way to stop being fat, tired, and depressed is 45 min of zone 2 cardio 3x week. It is the one habit that makes everything better. I have a strong suspicion it actually leads to making more money also.

@rcleveng I would prefer the back to basics Notepad we had with Win7 or earlier. As you noted, we don't need all the bells and whistles included in the app which most use for text editing only. Most used wordpad or Word for more advanced text editing as well.

I had to laugh at this marketing email from Microsoft just two weeks after CVE-2026-20841 came out with a remote code execution exploit on Microsoft’s notepad app. Notepad honestly shouldn’t be opening up anything in the network.

@MakeAugusta I tested the first build and ran into a ton of pop-up errors all labeled "unknown error" so I'm planning to wait for it to get more stable. It seems to demand OpenGL rendering as well.

I'm still running version 9.0.0. They want you to spend 30 minutes to an hour every month to get an update? I'm just waiting for version 10. What version are you on?

@jazzychad Yeah, it is only ramping up even more in the last couple of years. I do wish that it would be toned down considerably. I also wish they would just legalize it and not try and tax the crap out of it like they do everything (at least here in Calif).

The legalization of weed has absolutely ruined public spaces AND places where it is prohibited (theaters, concerts, sports venues)… ppl just want their high and don’t care about anyone else. I’m a liberal, but this policy has resulted in wildly selfish, anti-social behavior

@MakeAugusta Only slightly different than the majority of them that I have received since Sept. It's at the point where I am ready to give up and find something else to do. Virtually all tech careers seem to want AI as the be all end all of everything even when not applicable.
