@MarcAPerna He’s been bad at the plate (and on the base paths which is perplexing) but I still think he’s a contributor on a winning team.
A valuable player based on positional versatility and average to above average defense but gets exposed offensively based on too much playing time here.

@JimCosta_ with the Crazy Bones pull! Feel like I’m the only one who remembers those.
English

@SeiyaTakes Yeah, but Houston has a lot of lefties. It’s kind of a do or die series for him, IMO.
English

@BadBeatBets1 For someone who opened by calling me stupid, it’s ironic that you can’t grasp nuance. You heard “not elite,” translated it to “bad,” and got your feelings hurt. “Leagues better” is a childish homer take. Call me when Cleveland wins dick for the first time since 1948.
English

@aurban91 I'm getting hung up on the fact you think it's some wonder, some miracle that Cleveland owns Detroit. Again, it's not rocket science. One team has been leagues above the other. A one and half year stint of luck doesn't put Detroit on the same level. Sorry
English

@BadBeatBets1 You’re getting hung up on one adjective while ignoring the point. Cleveland isn’t the Dodgers. They’re a good team that farms a weak division and, for whatever reason, Detroit plays their worst ball against them consistently. God bless, the injury to JRam sucks.
English

@aurban91 One team is always near the top with regular season wins. That same team regularly wins the division. One team has been far more successful when it comes to wins. It's not a great mystery why one team continually beats the other. It's not rocket science
English

@BadBeatBets1 The Tigers have been and are equally or less mediocre than Cleveland. It’s not a diss!
But the teams have similar talent levels. It’s why they’ve met in the playoffs two consecutive years. Neither are “great” and CLE isn’t leagues better than Detroit in the last few seasons.
English

@aurban91 Idk how else I can say one of the best regular season teams is not mediocre. One team has been far superior to the other. How is it one of life's great mystery's that the superior team owns the other. This can't be a serious conversation right?
English

@aurban91 No I think the amount of wins they have accumulated does. Ya know, the only actual stat that matters
English

@BadBeatBets1 They’ve been average to good (in a bad division), which is exactly what mediocre means. If you want to think that makes them one of the league’s elite teams, more power to you.
English

@aurban91 Cleveland has been one of the best regular season teams the last decade. They are not mediocre. It's not a surprise they own Detroit every year. In response to why you literally said, that's my point
English

@BadBeatBets1 They could go 81-81 with three replacement-level outfielders and popcorn vendor batting cleanup, and I’d still expect them to take 9 of 13 from Detroit. That’s literally my point.
English

@aurban91 A top five teams in wins over the last decade is "mediocre" this is why people think Detroit fans are stupid 😂😂
English

@m4yhem13 That one really perplexes me too. He works middle-middle but they just can’t figure out his fastball. Maddening.
English

@1currents1 I mean sure, but we’re kind of arguing the same point here. Cleveland has been better than Detroit but neither team is “great”. They have the same amount of recent WS appearances and 0 titles.
If you’re looking for a great CLE pod though, I highly recommend the Dery Bros pod.
English

@aurban91 Got a lot more recent ones then in Detroit that’s for sure, lmk if you want to do a whole hour on #guardsball next ep im free to record a couple weekday afternoons this week.
English

@1currents1 Lol I mean if a divisional championship for a bad AL Central is the pinnacle for your sports fandom, congratulations on that recent banner.
English

@king0fCLE Yes, I know they stink this year lol. But again, 0-6 vs a divisional rival especially after what happened last year is an oddity in baseball even for bad teams.
English

Well the Tigers aren’t good so there’s that
Alex Urban@aurban91
The Tigers boogeyman being an entirely mediocre Cleveland team year after year is one of the great mysteries of my lifetime.
English

@1currents1 Mediocre is an adjective describing something of average or moderate quality. Neither exceptionally good nor terrible.
They’ve been average to good. Sorry you’re in your feelings. #soft
