The Link Between Albanese's Voice and Treaty Explained in 2 Minutes! While it usually depends on the audience, the Prime Minister’s deceptive messaging on the voice has been to downplay its potential power and implications. That’s certainly what he tried with Ben Fordham the other day. He could not, would not, acknowledge the link between the voice and an indigenous treaty. “People won’t be voting on a treaty at the referendum” he said. Except that’s precisely the activist reasoning behind the voice. It’s not recognition, because indigenous Australia is widely recognised in many ways. It’s not representation, because all Australians are equally represented in this Parliament. It’s about creating a body to negotiate a treaty. No treaty was signed in Australia’s colonial era because there was no nation for the Crown to treat with. There still isn’t. So Labor will effectively make his Voice the ‘nation’ to treat with, because the very idea that a nation can have a treaty with its own citizens is nonsense. This has been confirmed by Gabrielle Appleby from the University of NSW, who said: “Voice precedes Treaty because fair, modern treaty negotiations require first the establishment of a representative Indigenous body to negotiate the rules of the game with the state. It can’t be left to the state alone, and the state must have a group of people with whom to negotiate…. Voice establishes the power for Treaty.” Since the Prime Minister is committed to voice, treaty and truth-telling, it’s about time he told the truth and stopped deceiving Australians about his personal vanity project and treaty vehicle.

Ironic that @LindaBurneyMP continues to ignore questions made of her in Parlt. She reads off a cheat sheet telling us that the Voice is about listening. Clearly she has a problem listening to questions and even more of a problem explaining specific aspects of the next stage of the Voice, Treaty & what the Makarrata Commission will do. The subterfuge & lies surrounding this massive issue continue with @AlboMP conducting a protection racket for his inept Minister & his apartheid by stealth

@22thinkinggirl @macsween_prue @LindaBurneyMP Why not change the constitution? It won’t hurt you, it won’t deprive you, it won’t disadvantage you …. are you trying to claim the list you have posted is the reason we shouldn’t have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice? They could all go with the flick of a pen 🖊️

-You can have constitutional recognition without the voice -You can have the voice without changing the constitution -Many would vote yes to constitutional recognition but cannot because of the referendum question. -The Voice to parliament has not been tried and tested and we do not have the full details of the legislation that will support it. -One group of Australians should not be seen as more important by having a voice enshrined in the constitution. Currently indigenous Australians own or control 40% of our land mass with another 10% under review. 80% are city dwellers and appear to be the ones speaking for the remaining 20%, no wonder many remote communities feel dudded. Why should 3% of the population be granted extra rights over the 97% of Australians that are basically funding the 3% and giving them multiple existing voices. -We should not be asked to vote for a representational body until we can see it working successfully. - In the spirit of truth telling, a full audit of the gigantic Aboriginal industry, and those involved with promoting the voice, must declare all vested interest, just like politicians do. - Using union activists with communist leanings to push the Voice is a very very bad look. Their words contradict what the Yes campaign tells us. - Why exactly though, is the Labor Government pushing for a separate VOICE to parliament which will fundamentally change Australia's constitution when indigenous Australians already have ample representation to parliament via elected members, including a Minister for Indigenous Affairs and many other organisations and associations, who's primary responsibility is to address and find solutions for issues concerning Indigenous Australians?

@macsween_prue @LindaBurneyMP There are no lies - the Voice referendum is very clear and simple - to have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice in our Constitution. Your scaremongering is so sad :(

@Maggs18194477 @TheMcMullan @PaulineHansonOz Huh? Why do you say they are ‘supposed’ to be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? Do you know anyone who is not? If you do, name them. if you don’t then why promulgate this doubt, is it to stir up trouble?

Listening to Katy Gallagher talk about misinformation is like listening to a groomer talk about child protection. Here she is yet again attempting to deflect questions about Labor's censorship of people who have since been proven to be correct. •How could anyone ever trust the Gov’t with censorship when they are possibly the worst at presenting the truth? youtu.be/w4abh6Mpn8g via @YouTube

He may be wondering why his Govt is losing support. Lying to Australians tends to put them off. @AlboMP may think it’s clever to joke about his Treaty T-shirt in Parlt to deflect from admitting a YES vote will lead to a Treaty, truth-telling & reparations. What it’s doing is reminding us he cannot be trusted, is willing to play with the truth & sell this country out to get himself written into the history books. He’ll be there, but it won’t be pretty.
