I became interested in writing bc after reading many great writers I realized I was not very good at it. It seemed like one of the most pure forms of problem solving, expressing a feeling that sounded good in my head, measured up to all of the writers I admired. It wasn’t an interest in floridity or form, just in how to be direct and simple with moments that could potentially change a life. So it makes sense that now that my life has brought new problems to solve, that I find engaging, I am writing much less. But I know I will come back to it, even when I look at writing, and some writers, with disdain, I know I harbor a secret love
