@barnoolut Online ABC vs Chat GPT! What an interesting little microcosm showing that no matter how much we want it to stay the same the world changes... We'd not have been sharing those contesting sources 10 years ago!

@Oscarthefarmer @DanielT99875112 @TonyHWindsor Its Joh for PM all over again. However I am concerned that taking a large segment of our communities for granted and thrusting change on them for the greater good of the economy has resulted in a growing disfranchised segment of our community. Again history repeating itself

@DanielT99875112 @TonyHWindsor @barnoolut heres an example. The Rustler sees it as ALP selling out? Well nah, thats a centrist policy position... moderate Libs (now an endangered species) and right of ALP see it as solid, as do most voters. Et voila, Albanese takes the centre ground again.

@Oscarthefarmer There is 33% swing to ON in Elizabeth. I would suggest there isnt a more traditional labour electorate in Australia. it will be interesting to see what happens in Victoria

@barnoolut Perhaps, but its key here to note that its almost all coming out of conservative parties to go to the protest/disenfranchisement vote. So its LNP vs ONP in a side-bar barney to be the first loser of elections. That does not a conservative government make.

@gomichild If you know your child has a limited range of foods they will eat why would you keep taking them to places where you know they can’t be catered for?

In the early 90’s we gave low-input agriculture a red hot crack, with a mindset of absolutely wanting this system/belief to work economically 💰& if possible grow the business as well. Nine years later the engine of the business ground to an abrupt stop. It only took 9 years to mine the phosphorus, sulphur, nitrogen, and calcium out of the landscape. The early indicators were The grass bank 💰got smaller each year regardless of rainfall. Stocking rates in the first 4 years were ok as normal then they fell off the cliff by year 7, by year 9 adjusted to stocking rate per Ha/100mm rainfall we were running 51% less DSE, S Low input Low risk Low return on assets managed (ROAM) Keep in mind we farm in a pretty safe environment in the central west of NSW, with 650mm average rainfall which falls fairly evenly over the year.

Homeopathy is based on the assumption that the entire modern scientific community, 90% of all doctors, and 28 international scientific organisations are completely wrong about this form of treatment, but that a group of anti-science quacks has got it all exactly right.

Investment in CSIRO has been declining in real terms for decades. The result is shocking - recent cuts mean there have been more job losses under the Albanese govt than under Abbott, and key capabilities like climate modelling are being reduced. Funding in MYEFO was welcome, but temporary. The upcoming budget is the real test. It must deliver long-term investment to rebuild national science capability. thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/environme…

@bmonitor @BjornLomborg Correct accept China! China also has ~50% of reactors under construction globally (Source: World Nuclear Association, Global Energy Monitor) On that trajectory, multiple agencies (IEA, IAEA outlooks) expect China to become the largest nuclear generator before 2030.

The vision of China as a renewable superpower is mostly green propaganda. China remains the world’s top coal consumer, having planned an unprecedented number of new coal power plants in 2025. Fossil fuels still supply about 87% of its primary energy. financialpost.com/opinion/need-c…

@bmonitor @BjornLomborg So what? Their current build and building of nuclear power stations speak for themselves they are and will continue to dominate nuclear power generation over the next 60 years.

@bmonitor @BjornLomborg China is building roughly half of the world’s new nuclear capacity, approving ~10 reactors a year, and has 30+ under construction right now. They’ve doubled capacity in a decade — and they’re not slowing down. Looks like they can walk and chew gum at the time!

@barnoolut @BjornLomborg China is putting even more effort in building renewables. And Europe and the US stay behind because of nuclear ideology.
