I think it’s great Keely Hodgkinson is using her platform to emphasise why West Ham need to think about the bigger picture here. The 2029 Worlds in London would be such a big opportunity to inspire the next generation. For the sake of West Ham playing an extra away game, it’s more than worth it.

For me the only sensible appointment would be Ryan Mason. I think he has some unjustified haters on here and I don’t think he is a long term solution. But a few things are very important if we are to have any chance at all of getting out of this. An affiliation with the club is by far the most important factor in my eyes. Someone who genuinely cares. Not someone who’s doing it in the hope of a big bonus if we stay up. Someone who it would hurt if they saw their club in the Championship. Secondly, he has worked with, and knows intimately, the vast majority of our players. He was part of a coaching group that was loved by the players and at the moment that love may be all we have left to rely on. And thirdly, something which is largely ignored. He has more experience than anyone in recent times of taking over Tottenham Hotspur in turmoil at the end of the season. No, he doesn’t have an incredible record. But he doesn’t need to. Our manager doesn’t need to win every game. He needs to find a way to get 2 or 3 wins out of the players. He has proven he is capable of that. This situation doesn’t require out of the box, clever thinking. It requires simplicity and sense. It requires passion and someone who cares. Others mentioned have been out of the game for far too long to have an impact. Unless we can miraculously get a permanent appointment, Mason is the only sensible answer. Please don’t fuck this up again Spurs.

Your first mistake is thinking EMS shouldn’t be against seeing Palestinian women & children k*lled daily for over 70+ years in the genocide. Their hearts *should* be with the ppl of Palestine as compassionate caring ppl. That said, it says a lot about folks feeling the need to have their own ambulances instead of trusting local/American EMS if they choose to live here. EMS job first and foremost is deliver this critical care to every person in need without exception or discrimination whether the patient is Jewish, LGBTQ+, Latino, Black, White, Muslim, atheist, elderly, or from any other background bc in moments of crisis, only the urgency of saving a life matters.

I know it’s sexier to make our plight all about terrible players, managers and board room members - and they are certainly a factor. But our monumental injury list barely gets a mention when the media gets collectively erect over our potential relegation. There has quite simply never been a situation like it. Take 12 first team players out of any squad in any league for a long period of time and you will see the results. Maddison & Kulusevski haven’t played one minute all season. Bergvall, Kudus, Solanke, Udogie, Bentancur, Dragusin, Odobert, Davies, Bissouma have all spent a minimum of 2 months out injured this season & in some cases much more. The problem is, you can’t be angry with injuries. There’s no figure or face to blame. Just an invisible ‘medical staff’. So we have to direct our anger & frustration elsewhere. Maybe we can direct it towards Liverpool on Sunday? COYS
