A 3.1% terminal rate reprices everything with a duration component. $SPY and $TLT falling together. Correlation flipped to +0.55 when it should be negative. Stocks and bonds moving in lockstep down. Last time this correlation regime stuck around was 2022. Both asset classes lost 20%+. Gold down. Crypto down. Bonds down. Equities down. The only green thing today is oil, up nearly 4%. The very thing making the inflation problem worse. 60/40 is broken when the Fed raises the floor under rates. There's no hedge in that portfolio right now. I think $SPY has more room to unwind from here before this repricing is done. Lower lows coming before any relief. Where are you hiding your capital right now? Genuinely curious.
