PhD students from IRSS in Burkina Faso have worked with @LSTMnews vector biologists to generate a transgenic mosquito. The partnership, funded by the @gatesfoundation, is designed to build capacity in molecular biology and genetic control of mosquitoes in Burkina Faso.

What will it take to end malaria

There was a time, not so long ago, when we were buoyed by the progress everywhere, and when we appeared overly optimistic about malaria eradication. It was interesting re-reading the Aspirations to Action Document , written before the post 2000 malaria trends started flattening.
