The #Bears still have a major need at edge rusher. Clemson's TJ Parker, Zion Young of Missouri, Gabe Jacas out of Illinois and Michigan's Derrick Moore all seem like scheme fits for Dennis Allen. I'd expect them to hit the position tonight.

I find selection of Stanford TE Sam Roush baffling, given needs on D-line and presence of Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet. Roush replaces Graham Smythe on depth chart and is solid blocker with excellent pass-catching ability. But seems like could’ve been addressed later. #Bears

I looked at the #s of Hagen Smith's 4-inning start on 4/16 to see how much, if any, he lost on his fastball as the game progressed. He was allowed to go more than 3 innings because he only needed 28 pitches thru the first 3 innings. (He had only gone 3 innings in each of his first 3 starts.) In the first inning, he touched 96.7 mph with his fastball, 95.9 in the second inning and 95.4 in the third. But he needed 31 pitches to navigate the fourth inning, during which time his fastball was down about 1.5 ticks.

The velo is a major concern if it keeps happening
