@connordavenpo Often it’s really hard to see the actual typeface anymore through all those layers of motion and Blender effect filters.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently but the TikTok/Instagramification of typeface design has emphasized aesthetics over communication. Type design is about balancing the two.

@JanineAbbring (Kleine correctie: Simplistic Sans is ontworpen door Bold Monday in samenwerking met Thonik.) De naam Simplistic was natuurlijk een perfecte manier om verbinding te maken met de geschiedenis van de VPRO. Alle betrokkenen waren meteen akkoord.

Wim de Bie leeft op vele manieren voort, tot in de haarvaten van de VPRO: Het lettertype dat alle VPRO-programma's gebruiken (ontworpen door bureau Thonik) heet 'Simplistic Sans'. Een eerbetoon aan het Simplisties Verbond.

One and a half week ago I letterpressed (is that a word?) this art poster together with Mizdruk for the football game between @FCEindhoven and @PECZwolle on April the 7th. The poster uses my typeface Pim & the Analogue Pixels and various wooden letters.
