Muslim woman burnt alive for rejecting marriage proposal "You are Hindu, I am Muslim. I cannot marry you." In Kolkata, a 30-year-old Muslim woman died after being set on fire by a Hindu man whose marriage proposal she had rejected. The accused, identified as Siddhartha Chariwal, was arrested shortly after the victim gave a dying declaration to the police. The accused lured the woman to a secluded spot under the pretext of a job interview. Once she reached the location, an argument reportedly broke out between the two. Chariwal then poured kerosene on the woman and set her on fire.  She suffered 90 percent burns and succumbed to her injuries on Monday. #India
