@JustDale91 I always believed in my dad. But I was very distraught learning he was around kids again. I had to know he wasn’t the man who raised me. Another child cannot end up like me. And he has been better and that’s all that matters. Still was a shock hearing it straight out anyways.

@JustDale91 It’s been a long decade of work with said parent. I personally take a fair amount of credit in this specific change. However the man’s been thru a lot even outside of me but I think if it weren’t for me really aggressively checking him, the rest wouldn’t have mattered.

Talking to my dad on the phone (rare) and him taking a moment to tell me he’s not like that anymore and he’s a much calmer man not just for adults but for kids too has certainly shell shocked me. I’m used to being the parent and the parent actually learning is..crazy. But v nice.
