I usually give Trump the benefit of the doubt when it comes to military operations. What he pulled off in Venezuela was a miracle. A hostile government was replaced with a friendly one without losing a single American soldier. Venezuela has massive oil reserves and critical minerals, and it was China’s main foothold in the Western Hemisphere. Now, they are praising Trump, sending gold to U.S. refineries, and opening up to American investment. Operation Midnight Hammer was badass. In his first term, he used targeted strikes to take out ISIS, al-Baghdadi, and Soleimani while avoiding large-scale wars. If he could reshape Iran’s leadership like Venezuela and secure control over the Strait of Hormuz, that would be a huge strategic win. But right now, it’s unclear how that happens. Some OSINT analysts say ground troop movements may already be underway. At the same time, the Pentagon has reportedly requested about $200 billion for the Iran war. Even without boots on the ground, that kind of spending signals a longer, more expensive conflict. One of Trump’s biggest selling points has always been projecting strength without dragging America into endless wars that cost lives and trillions of dollars. Qatar produces about 20% of the world’s LNG, and it reportedly lost around 17% of its export capacity for up to five years after yesterday’s attack. More strikes on energy infrastructure could drive inflation higher and shake the global economy. I hope Trump succeeds with minimal loss of life and economic damage. His track record is why I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But I don’t want to see another prolonged ground war with heavy American casualties. I hope he finds an off-ramp long before that happens.

THIS IS WILD… Passenger says United denied a simple request that could literally save their life. Severe peanut allergy. One exposure = possible fatal reaction. All they asked for? A small buffer zone on the plane. Instead… they were told to basically deal with it and “email the company.” On a packed flight where people are eating inches away… That’s not a minor issue. That’s life or death. Do airlines have a responsibility here… or is this asking too much? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

Incredible footage of an Iranian missile with cluster bombs, fired over entire civilian population areas in Israel. These bombs are designed for one purpose and one purpose only - to inflict maximum possible harm to civilians! [🎥: @inbarspace]

@bruce_barrett The railroad crossing gate appears to be designed to lock drivers into the track when it lowers. The trucker couldn't back up after making his mistake. I wonder if that design was intentional.

The Iranian regime executed a 19 year old for demanding democracy. I stand with his memory and the thousands of other young Iranians. Those who grieve the elimination of Iranian leaders over murdered protesters is telling.
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.

I have two clear messages: First, to the United States & Israel: It’s high time to end this war that is risking to get out of control, causing immense suffering on civilians, with dramatic effects on the global economy & potentially tragic consequences, especially for the least developed countries. Second, my message to Iran: Stop attacking your neighbors, they were never parties to the conflict. The Security Council has condemned these attacks, has ordered them to stop, as it has order to open the Strait of Hormuz. The prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz causes enormous pain for so many people around the world who have nothing to do with this conflict. It’s time for the force of the law to prevail over the law of the force. It’s time for diplomacy to prevail over war. My remarks from the European Council in Brussels: un.org/sg/en/content/…

It is time to open a path towards de-escalation in order to restore stability in the Middle East. France calls for the immediate implementation of a moratorium on strikes targeting civilian infrastructure, whether related to water or to energy. Freedom and security of navigation must be restored. As the region enters a period of religious celebrations and renewal, tempers must cool and hostilities must cease, in order to give a real chance to the prospect of a negotiated and sustainable solution.

I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies. But it is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other forces fundamentally opposed to the United States and our allies. This seems to reflects a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism, dressed up in postcolonial theory, that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world and the nature of our adversaries.

Iran has begun the strategic destruction of Israel Why did Iranian missiles hit the railway station? 🔴 The situation in Tel Aviv and Israel is really serious, real pain and destruction are beginning. 🔴 Today, Iran hit a railway station in the center of the country. I didn't draw conclusions right away and waited to see if this was the beginning of a new phase or not. 🔴 It has now been confirmed: Iran destroyed one of Israel's largest railway stations in Tel Aviv, likely paralyzing train traffic throughout the country. 🔴 Israel is a small country and has only one main railway line from north to south, the largest stations of which are located in Haifa and Tel Aviv. The suspension of train traffic there means the absence of mass public transport in Israel (roads are usually very congested). 🔴 These facilities are also major transport hubs, and the busiest and most strategically important roads in Israel run nearby; the destruction of several bridges along these roads would paralyze the entire center of the country. 🔴 This also has far-reaching military consequences: the train is the main means of transporting Israeli soldiers. If what I suspect actually happens, hundreds of thousands of soldiers will not be able to effectively move home or to their duty stations. 🔴 Moreover, with the announcement of a mass call-up of reservists, the movement of a large number of soldiers to the north or south will become extremely difficult for Israel. A logistical nightmare. 🔴 The economic consequences of the shutdown of the railways are astronomical: hundreds of thousands of Israelis commute to work by train every day. 🔴 All of this was predictable. A year and a half ago, I wrote an article titled "Iran could destroy Israel in a few hours", where I accurately predicted this scenario. Alon Mizrahi
