Look, I don’t want to be that guy, and I really have nothing to gain by posting this, but the amount of deck integrity issues I’ve seen @venetianpoker is getting out of hand. This isn’t about one dealer. Wobbly pitches, rolled decks and lax behavior are becoming commonplace

Without you guys, the game doesn’t go. The dealers who care are the majority but I can’t imagine that you think all your colleagues are as good as you are?

I would hope that if I ever made a mistake like this you would say something directly to me and to the floors. I practice regularly on my own time and do ask for feedback from players and floors.

@brew1993 @VenetianPoker I lost a monster pot in St. Louis where the player next to the player who beat me called out my cards by suit after the hand. It’s rampant. He said from seat 9 he’d seen most of seats 1-4 cards for an entire down. I can only assume how it played out seat 8 had a similar view

@BrianOkin @VenetianPoker Completely agree, but the lack of coaching for the obvious problem children is concerning. It’s gotten worse recently, and I had consensus with some regs who asked me to post after I put it in our group chat.

@brew1993 @VenetianPoker So many amazing dealers at Venetian. A few need some training to protect the deck and don’t wave it around. Most are very good

@ptr__tv @VenetianPoker WSOP gets a pass from me. It’s martial law conditions. We will throw anybody with a heartbeat in the box. Don’t think it’s asking too much for one of the top poker rooms in the Mecca of gambling to have better dealing standards than WSOP

@brew1993 @VenetianPoker Now imagine going to the WSOP spending anywhere from $600-$10k per entry and 75% of the dealers are like this or worse. Live poker will be a joke until you can have reliable dealers/clocks on every hand.

@LafayJami @VenetianPoker I love the room and think they get 90% of it right, but I play the biggest public game in the room. Call me crazy, but stub integrity seems the simple to enforce. You just have to walk the damn room and keep an eye out 🤷‍♂️

I was a dealer back in the day. I went on to owning my own game in a casino. I think poker dealers are the most important part of the game. This needs to be addressed, often, especially before summer tournament season. That said, if a room is doing it right that should be talked about too.

@VenetianPoker I appreciate the response, but multiple other players encouraged me to post this. We’ve mentioned it before to suits and continue to see issues. It’s not one dealer and I think players should know to protect themselves in your games. You all absolutely know the problem dealers

@brew1993 We agree that this is bad form and not ok. Please speak with the shift manager on duty so we can specifically work with/coach the dealers in question. Thank you - Tommy

This severely jeopardizes the integrity of the game. Venetian should be vetting and training dealers to a much higher standard imo.

Eyeballing Bobby’s room to see how good the game is before sitting in 1/3 with a min buy
