If SEC teams are allowed to lose three games every year and still get preferential treatment over teams that only lose one game in the second best conference in the sport, then what is even the point of all this. Just make the SEC Championship the national championship then.

Indiana and SMU looking outclassed isn’t evidence that Bama should’ve been in the CFP. They crashed out in the exact same way at Oklahoma. It is evidence that the playoff is too big.

Here’s the thing.. Ole Miss, Bama, and South Carolina all lost games they shouldn’t have. Nobody is denying that. However, there is no way you can say those aren’t all teams deserving to be in the Top 12.. These are NOT the best teams playing right now.

South Carolina had 5 wins better than any win on Indiana’s resume. Alabama had 4. The committee rewarded IU for beating up on bad teams. This isn’t revisionist history.

At this rate, we will see 6 SEC schools in the College Football Playoff next year.
