Craig Kimbrel has decided to stay with the Mets after not making the Opening Day roster, per @JonHeyman.
As Carlos Mendoza mentioned yesterday, Kimbrel is expected to remain in Port St. Lucie.

@TierReport maybe pay attention to what you type first. it’s OK to disagree, but if you want to be the tough guy, keyboard warrior, and start with bashing people then expect it in return and be prepared to say it to the person’s face. See highlighted here for what YOU said first.

@bruning_ron Name calling always is a great way to prove your point. And especially when your point is McMahon is holding the Yankees back so I’d rather replace him with a guy whose offensive stats in the minor leagues are the same as what McMahon has done in the big leagues.
English

I can’t believe the Yankees got this guy for Vivas. Liñan has real potential.
Andrew Golden@andrewcgolden
The Washington Nationals are acquiring INF Jorbit Vivas from the New York Yankees and sending pitching prospect Sean Paul Liñan back to New York, per sources. Vivas debuted and played 29 games for New York last season.

@DonnieCollinsTT tell me how, exactly, they won with him. I mean, what did he contribute offensively?
English

@bruning_ron That's kind of the point on Jazz.
I don't know what else to say on McMahon. You said they can't win w/ him. I showed you they've consistently won with him. You say, "They win in spite of him." That's not a real discussion of the facts, so I'll stop it at this point. Thanks.
English

@DonnieCollinsTT they had a decent record there in spite of him. Judge, Grisham, Fried, etc carried the team. Chisolm had his best year ever.
English

@bruning_ron McMahon is actually the easiest argument to make here, so I'll start with him. The Yanks were 38-21 w/ him in the regular season last year, and he hit .208 for them. That's still a 64% win rate. And he hit well in the playoffs. They can win with McMahon as a bottom order 3B...
English

@BBGreatMoments The ghost Runner is complete beer league softball nonsense. Also not a big fan of the competitive balance schedule.

@ChipMessenger is that pic from the Marriott hotel across the street?
English

@DonnieCollinsTT apologies if you’re caught in the middle of the name-calling with that other person who for some reason, rather than have civil disagreement, decided to mock me. Another fucking keyboard warrior he is.
English

@DonnieCollinsTT they will never win with McMahon at 3B. All he brings is solid defense-simply cannot hit. Jazz is way overrated just like he was with the Marlins. The good thing about Jazz though is he will continue to hit HRs in Yankee stadium.
English

@bruning_ron @TierReport Take the L on this one, Ron. I don’t think McMahon is A-Rod by any means offensively. But he’s a no. 8/9 hitter who plays outstanding defense. You can win with him.
As for Jazz, I don’t get the hate. He’s no worse than the third best offensive 2B in baseball. And…
English

@TierReport Dipshit, if you pay attention to baseball rather than cheer competitions, you’d see that McMahon is one of the scrubs holding the Yankees back. No matter how many times he changes his stance, he can’t hit.
English

@bruning_ron @SportyBusDriver @DonnieCollinsTT How is a worse hitter and fielder a better option than McMahon? Somehow Chisolm sucks for you as well but a guy whose career minor league ops is worse than what Jazz has for an ops with the Yankees is a better option lol. I tell you it’s hilarious how clueless people are.
English

@MikeJanela very few because the majority of the points are based on the cost of the ticket.
English

@BBGreatMoments 3 no-hitters:
- Johan Santana, Mets
- Max Scherzer, Nationals
- Mets combined
English

@SportyBusDriver @DonnieCollinsTT a better option then Ryan McMahon at 3B. Chisolm sucks too so he can fill in at 2B occasionally.
English

@bruning_ron @DonnieCollinsTT Potential to be a career minor leaguer
English

Mr David Stearns................................you know what to do.
Jon Heyman@JonHeyman
LHP Joey Lucchesi has been granted his release by Giants after they signed Ryan Borucki. Lucchesi was 92-94 mph in scoreless appearance yesterday and coming off strong season out of bullpen (3.76 ERA, 1.226 WHIP).
